5 stars for everything. It's the only place in Catania where you feel at home, from the familiar and welcoming atmosphere to the perfectly cooked food. I've been coming for years and have never had a bad meal. Excellent traditional dishes, but also surprising and innovative combinations that always turn out perfectly! Unique!

I already knew the place, but I was happy to return. A very beautiful place, well-kept, with a welcoming atmosphere and a good crowd. Ivo was very professional and kind, assisting us throughout the lunch, recommending dishes and wines. All excellent choices, congratulations!

This restaurant is located in the center of Catania in a very charming outdoor setting. The dishes vary depending on the season, but they're always satisfying, with new interpretations and a few unique touches. The only drawback is that you need to book a table, otherwise you risk not finding a table or waiting a long time, especially on weekends.

On a side street off Catania's central Via Etnea is this charming, unique place with a lovely atmosphere both inside and out. You'll have to wait a bit, but while you wait, you can enjoy a nice glass of wine. We sat at the outdoor tables because, having a dog, we preferred more space. The menu is written on a chalkboard, offering a wide variety of delicious dishes, including appetizers, first courses, and second courses. The creamy celeriac soup with green apple is especially delicious. The desserts are also excellent. And finally, the staff is fast and friendly. What more could you ask for?

At Hosteria Il Porcino, I ate the best mushrooms ever, prepared with truly rare care and quality: fragrant, flavorful, simply extraordinary. The mushroom appetizer was a true sensory experience, a delight that captivates from the first bite. The pizza? Excellent, well-cooked, with quality ingredients and a great balance of flavors. The fillet steak with green peppercorns deserves a special mention: exceptional, incredibly tender, and with a perfect sauce. All this is accompanied by kind, professional, and attentive staff, capable of making you feel at home right away. The price is absolutely reasonable, more than justified by the quality of the dishes and the level of experience. A restaurant I recommend without reservation: top-notch quality, authentic cuisine, and great passion. I will definitely be back!
23/12/2025: Truly excellent mushroom dishes, but what impressed us most was the service. The young woman who served our table was extremely kind, attentive, and cheerful. Highly recommended, especially for winter evenings.
