Ramo d'Aria In Giarre

I have mixed feelings about this hotel where we spent six days. I expected more. While situated on a pleasant property, it had many shortcomings. Negative points: the room was adequate but nothing special, the soundproofing was insufficient, the breakfast buffet lacked variety (no option to make toast), and the service was rather slow and not always prioritized. I was also very disappointed with the restaurant. On our only visit, our dishes arrived almost cold. The menu was limited and quite expensive.

Beautiful hotel, though the rooms are a bit worn out... Extremely friendly and attentive staff! The restaurant offers incredibly delicious food and well-paired wines at a fair price. It's beautiful here and could be an oasis of peace if they didn't allow children! Of course, the hotel isn't responsible for the (poor) behavior of some children, but if they did, it would be a more pleasant stay!

This is a funny place because it is a bit in the middle of nowhere. Giarre is not a fancy place and the hotel is on the edge of Giarre. However...the views of Etna and surroundings from the room were wonderful and the service was informal and welcoming (as well as efficient). Parking is on-site and free. Rooms were fine. The pool was big and innovatively put together (you have to go to understand) and the pool area is nicely done and surrounded by green. The food in the restaurant (we ate there 2 evenings) was outstanding. The dishes were explained as if we were in a Michelin-starred restaurant but without the stiffness. And they just looked and tasted Michelin level or higher. It's not like Ortigia or Taormina but if you want a bit more space and time to relax it's a pretty good option. Taormina is less than 30 minutes away if you want to spend time there. And I hope they keep the chef.

My partner and I stayed one night at Ramo D'Aria. The property was recommended to us by a former colleague; however, our expectations were different. Below are the positive and negative points we found. Pros: • Friendliness of the staff: 5/5 • Variety and quality of the sweet and savory breakfast: 5/5 • Design and architecture, both internal and external: 4/5 Cons: • There were signs of damp in the bathroom. • There was only one wastebasket in the room, which was located exclusively in the bathroom. • Limescale in the shower tray. • I had read in reviews that the linens and towels were scented; however, the towels, once wet, smelled bad. • Personally, I don't like the brick shower tray; furthermore, the drain, positioned in the center, was inconvenient. • We were assigned a disabled-accessible room: this affected our comfort, with the toilet being higher than usual and the sink being lower. • Breakfast was excellent, but I wasn't expecting a €5 surcharge for pancakes. Points for improvement: • The pool could be used in winter if it were heated.

A new, modern hotel with beautiful design and comfortable rooms. Minor drawbacks include a small shower stall (even though the bathroom is large) and less-than-comfortable pillows. However, the service is excellent and everyone is willing to help with any questions. On clear days, the rooms overlooking Mount Etna and the pool area offer stunning views. Breakfasts are delicious and hearty.

We had a very pleasant stay. It's quite remote, so a car is essential. The rooms are very clean, but a bit noisy from other guests. Despite staying five nights, we unfortunately couldn't use the restaurant; every evening there was a different reason why we couldn't dine. The breakfast is very tasty. There's a lovely swimming pool.

Lovely location! Chosen for our daughter's baptism. Attentive and hospitable staff, they made this day unforgettable. A special thanks goes to Bruno, always available to accommodate our requests.

The staff is attentive, kind and always available, ready to satisfy every request with a smile. A decidedly positive experience!
