Ramen Bar Akira In Roma

First time at Akira and it was an exceptional experience. Greta served us and with so much sweetness and education she advised and helped us in choosing the dishes. We had the chicken guioza, the veg onigiri, ramen with chicken karaage and the one with shoyu sauce. Everything was truly amazing, the delicate but present flavors and all the dishes presented very well. To finish we chose the matcha tiramisu and… mammamia… the best I have ever eaten. Thanks guys, you made our evening fantastic! Greta, you are so sweet!!

Going to a ramen restaurant as a tourist during your stay in rome might sound crazy considering your noodle based alternatives but I can highly recommend Akira. Firstly the whole atmosphere is very authentic with the open kitchen and the huge broth pots being in direct view. Sitting at the counter directlly across the cooks gives similar vibes as eating in a small tokyo Izakaya. The food holds up just as well as the atmosphere. There is a large selection of Starters, main dishes and deserts, most of them japanese classics but also some fusions between italian and japanese kitchen like the matcha tiramisu. The food is prepared and served in a quick manor. I received grest service and cannot be happier to have gone out of my way to try this fantastic place.

Ottimo ramen, personalizzabile a piacere. In menu' altre sfiziosita' per uno spuntino veloce. Servizio cortese e celere. Prezzi assolutamente accettabili. Unica pecca ...un locale non particolarmente attraente e con musica troppo rumorosa. Vale comunque una fermata.

Bar ramen in zona Ostiense, locale abbastanza giovane, servizio informale, ramen buono (anche se ero abituato alle porzioni di Tokyo e Kyoto), buona anche l'okonomiyaki. Prezzi nella media del quartiere. Un modo per avvicinarsi alla cucina giapponese che non è solo costituita da sushi e sashimi.
