Radino Wine Bar In Matera

Excellent food and excellent value. The location is truly evocative, carved into the rock: a unique atmosphere that makes dinner an experience, not just a meal. Friendly service and a refined atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Very nice location, excellent value for money, professional staff.

We were looking for a place to have a good glass of wine and some typical snacks, and it lived up to my expectations. The charcuterie and cheese board was excellent, the crispy peppers, olives… everything was perfect. The sommelier gave great recommendations. Great atmosphere.

If you’re visiting Matera and looking for elevated dining, impeccable service, memorable food and a memorable experience, you must visit Radino. We will never forget this experience of dining in a cave, the wonderful local food and the cigar room, to finish our night off. Each waiter was incredible and made the visit extra special.

A charming location, with interesting and well-executed dishes. The meat was cooked to perfection. The only flaw of the evening was the service from the slightly older waiter. He began by taking our order seriously, but later showed an implicit lack of desire to serve the table and a subtle, yet obvious, arrogance. The first was evident in his cold approach, despite our courtesy throughout the service. The second manifested itself first with a look during the wine tasting and, later, by asking if everything was okay in a tone that suggested the answer was obvious. It all ended with a sloppy presentation of the bill, without a thank you or a final farewell (probably because he was more interested in listening to a voice note outside the restaurant, as we noticed as soon as we left). This last episode is embarrassing in itself, and even more so considering that no interest was shown when we mentioned that we were getting up because a fellow diner wasn't feeling well. That said, congratulations to the youngest member who, with politeness, professionalism, and attention, demonstrated great skill. Not a complaint, but constructive criticism. Excellent cuisine, but the service wasn't up to par. So much room for improvement in that regard.

The food was delicious, and the place was super cute.

We came here to celebrate our 9-year anniversary and had such a lovely evening. The starters were fantastic, and the Veal was one of the best I’ve ever had. The service was warm, attentive and made the occasion feel even more special with a special thanks to Alice and Mimmo. Combined with the lovely atmosphere, it made for a really memorable meal and we would happily recommend to anyone visiting Matera.

Reasonably priced tasting menu and wine pairing - delicious and excellent service

This place was amazing. The restaurant itself in terms of looks and layout was truly beautiful. The staff were all super on the ball and really professional. The food was beautiful and presented really well. The wine was really good. We also used the cigar lounge that was just unbelievable. So beautiful and amazingly set out in terms of going down to it and the aesthetics of it all. Recommend this restaurant 100%.
