Best restaurant in Puglia. The superb negroni. The incredibly good vitello tonato. The orecchiette with sausage and tomato, the taste is just top notch. Kind and efficient service. Tiramisu good and not too sweet Served with originality! Come without hesitation!

Excellent ambience and view. Slightly more upscale but with reasonable prices. We sat outside and enjoyed the cave views. Had the orecchiette ragu pasta but many people come later for drinks/cigar as well. Service was excellent, very professional wait staff who had proper training and it shows!

What a wonderful experience this was. The employees spoke passionately about the old monastery and church that used to be in the cave. The food was delicious and the service really fantastic.

I would highly recommend this place when you're visiting Matera. It's a fantastic spot with a beautiful ambiance, delicious meals, great wine, and a very nice and professional waiter. For starters, we had burrata caprese and beef tartare with tuna sauce. For the main course, we enjoyed orecchiette in sausage ragu and tagliolini cacio e pepe. We paired our meal with a bottle of red wine, and for dessert, we had basil gelato and tiramisu. Everything was delicious and beautifully served. Great place, great hospitality, and great food!

The food is really delicious. The atmosphere is pleasant and quiet with jazz music in the background. The location is also great. On top of that, there is top service that makes it an even more high-quality culinary experience. The vitello tonato of podronica meat was especially delicious and made us go two days in a row (where we were offered 2 glasses of prosecco on the house). Absolutely recommended!

Typisch Matera, in einem Sassi - Gebiet Sasso Caveoso-, von außen ist die Größe des Lokals nicht erkennbar, auf Straßenlevel sind zwei optisch getrennte Speisebereiche, eine Treppe führt dann hinunter in einen Raum, der sich perfekt für Weinproben eignet. Die schöne Einrichtung mit Bezug auf die Weinherstellung hat uns sehr gefallen. Wir waren unter der Woche da und das Restaurant war gut besucht. Die Karte ist überschaubar, aber wir fanden genau das was wir wollten, sehr leckere bezahlbare Gourmetküche. Bei diesem Ambiente atmet man Jahrtausende Alte Geschichte. Sehr freundlicher und sehr zuvorkommender Service. Zugegeben, die Portionen sind klein, da hilft aber auch das sehr leckere Brot mit ausgezeichnetem Olivenöl. Sehr feine Tischkultur mit tollem Porzellan. Wir hatten das Vitello Tonato , die gefüllten Tintenfische eine typische apulische Spezialität auf Basilicata Art. zart und saftig, weiter die im Ofen geröstete Aubergine, zum Dessert Zuppe inglese und Torrone, eine Art Meringue - türkischer Honig. Zur Menübegleitung hatten wir einen authentischen Osme Chardonnay aus der Gegend um Matera, im Eigentum der Familie Radino und passte perfekt. Gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnbis; das Restaurant betreibt auch ein kleines Boutiquehotel - Zimmer in den Höhlen; wir hatten einen wunderbaren Abend in Matera. Absolut Klasse! Bewertungen hier mit nur einem Stern verstehen nichts von dieser Art von Gastronomie . Danke für den schönen Abend.

L’endroit parfait… les plats sont très bien élaborés, élégants et délicieux. L’accueil est chaleureux et la déco est magnifique, Nous avons passé une très belle soirée.
