The best food I’ve eaten in Matera. Service was impeccable, atmosphere great. Would come back here for sure!

I had an amazing time at this restaurant. The place is very fancy, in a really good way. At first, it felt a bit misplaced, but the atmosphere itself was outstanding and quickly won me over. Everything felt elegant — the dining rooms, the restrooms — all of it clearly well thought out and carefully designed. The staff were friendly and very helpful throughout the entire experience. The food was amazing. I ordered a lasagna, and I’ve honestly never had a lasagna like this before. It was outstanding, and that dish alone made my day. I was genuinely impressed by how good it was — clear compliments to the chef. Overall, it was a great experience that left a strong impression on me. During my time in Matera, this place clearly stood out and, in my view, was not really comparable to the other restaurants in the area.

The atmosphere is carved into the stone, intimate, warm, and meticulously crafted without ostentation. Low lighting, just the right amount of silence, and a slow pace. A place that prepares the palate even before the dishes. Stunning, thoughtful, and precise dishes arrive at the table. The dish dedicated to San Giuannid is pure identity: deep flavors, Lucanian traditions reinterpreted with elegance, a balance between intensity and delicacy. The cheek, soft and juicy, is a slow caress: perfectly cooked, the sauce enveloping, the raw ingredients meticulously respected. A 2013 organic Aglianico accompanies everything, substantial yet never overpowering, binding the dishes together with coherence and character. A wine that speaks the same language as the cuisine: time, patience, depth. But Radino doesn't end at the table. Descending a level, you enter the cellar, a true treasure chest nestled in the rock, which speaks to a careful and profound research into wine. Further down, a cozy and elegant cigar room, where after-dinner rituals become a ritual: cigars, spirits, silence, and stone. Radino isn't just about eating well. It's a complete, multi-layered experience that unfolds as you descend. A place where you understand why it's recommended... and why you're left out without a reservation.

We dined at Radino one evening in December, and the experience was simply perfect. From the moment we entered, we were greeted by a warm and elegant atmosphere. The decor is meticulously crafted, and the background music created the perfect ambiance for a pleasant and romantic evening. The service was impeccable. Our waiter, Gaetano, was incredibly attentive and professional, and our waitress, Alice, also guided us with excellent suggestions for dishes and wine, demonstrating a great knowledge of the menu. Everyone was very attentive, even to celiac cuisine. The chef, who prepared impeccable gluten-free dishes, was excellent. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much.

Impolite service with a lot of snobery for an empty restaurant I will give a fair review and the pasta was nice but there are plenty others really within 50 metres that have excellent food and warm service
