Radino Wine Bar In Matera

I had the most wonderful dining experience at Radino last week. Despite being a "walk-in" with no prior reservation (and zero Italian-speaking skills!), I was warmly welcomed and promptly seated. The service was impeccable - warm, friendly, attentive yet discreet. I particularly enjoyed the tiramisu 'trick' - you will know what this means if you order it! The food and wine were simply divine. And the crowning glory was the lovely tour of the venue given to me - complete with Materan history and societal context. Radino is flawless - you are urged to visit, you will not be disappointed. Radino Wine Bistrò invites you to experience a unique lunch, immersed in a place that breathes soul and history. Close to the famous Sassi of Matera, a few steps from the famous Palazzo Lanfranchi, it offers an experience that combines art, culture and taste. We had our first meal in Radino when we reached Matera after 3.5 hours driving. The owner transformed an old cave church into a modern restaurant which still preserves some old machinery like olive oil maker, winery equipment as part of the decoration. Food was amazing, much like their homemade olive oil which is infused with a flower flavour. The service was another great experience, where the waiter proactively gave us a small tour for the restaurant, love it.

Wonderful restaurant. The venue is incredible. The food delicious and traditional but with a few twists. Staff was super friendly and even give us a tour of the different rooms. Loved it!

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The atmosphere is suggestive, welcoming and the restaurant manager is present and professional, the staff was friendly and helpful. Another strong point of the place is undoubtedly the cuisine. In this place you will have the opportunity to taste typical traditional products with 0 km ingredients. Last night I tasted various dishes and it was a continuous explosion of flavours, delicate but full of character. The desserts are the final touch of a delicious dinner. In a word, flawless. I highly recommend this place to all lovers of good food, good wine and banquets as a whole.

Servizio cortese e curato, locale molto gradevole ed elegante, purtroppo cucina poco interessante ad un prezzo un po' altino. Il menù, non troppo vasto, sembra promettere una preparazione di buon livello, invece diverse pietanze erano davvero senza abbastanza merito. Gli spaghetti aglio ed olio, la zuppa di legumi e la lonzetta erano, a dispetto della presentazione, a tirare via. Le seppie in zimino e la lasagna buone, senza essere eccezionali. Intrigante l'antipasto zucca carota e arancia e buona la selezione dei vini. Il servizio cortese e preparato. Per il locale e le materie prime potrebbe avere 4 stelle, ma i prezzi sono adeguati solo ad un livello superiore di qualità delle preparazioni, forse la giornata era un po' sfortunata.

Mi e’ piaciuta molto l accoglienza e il personale, gentilissimo! Il locale spettacolare, a parte la grotta anche l apparecchiatura e l arredo davvero di gran gusto! Io e il mio compagno abbiamo pareri diversi sul cibo. Le sue portate gli sono piaciute molto, speciali!! Le mie un po’ meno, io ho preso tonno con melograno ma per i miei gusti il tonno crudo era troppo grande, pensavo tagliato più sottile. Il secondo piatto era un orata che a mio gusto era troppo dolce. Per concludere, secondo me ne vale la pena ma a mio gusto le portate che ho preso non mi hanno fatto impazzire
