Dining at Caffè Quadri is to experience one of those places where history, gastronomy, and setting come together in a unique way. The project bears the signature of brothers Massimiliano and Raffaele Alajmo, which is already a guarantee of quality, sensitivity, and excellence in every detail. Located in the incomparable Piazza San Marco, the café occupies one of the most extraordinary locations in the world. It boasts a terrace overlooking the square and an elegant interior lounge, while the gourmet restaurant is located upstairs. On this occasion, we opted for the café, a more informal setting but with the same impeccable service. We shared the top selection of cicchetti, which here are reinterpreted with a distinctly gastronomic flair—a far cry from classic Venetian bites—as well as excellent pasta. All prepared with the precision and care that characterize the group. The service was outstanding from beginning to end. Furthermore, the team made a lovely gesture by allowing us to finish our meal on the terrace, under the sun and right in St. Mark's Square. There, they brought us dessert and coffee to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday. The moment became even more special when the chef and some of the team came out to present and assemble a spectacular mille-feuille with cream, which they prepared right in front of us. An unforgettable touch that transformed an already excellent meal into a memory that the whole family will cherish forever. Thank you to the entire Caffè Quadri team for their hospitality, their professionalism, and for making that moment truly special.

Cappuccino and brioche 🥐 €7 at the counter, we're in one of the most beautiful squares in the world in a historic café. I think the brioche is the best I've ever eaten. At the service station you don't spend much less eating the frozen ones.

The bar area is small but welcoming, overlooking Piazza San Marco. I didn't order food, so I can't comment on it. We spent €4 for two coffees, which, considering the location, was expected. We had to serve ourselves, which was fine, but what we weren't expecting was that when it came time to pay, the barista asked us to return the dirty cups. I've never heard of anything like it.

I'm conflicted about Quadri. I've been coming since I was very young, for almost 20 years, and it's changed a lot over that time. It used to be a very personal place where I knew all the waiters and we'd be welcomed back each time. Now it feels a lot less personal and more just of an expensive tourist trap. One that has very good food, very good drinks, and an incredible atmosphere. But it's lost the edge of what it had 10-15 years ago. At the end of the day, you're paying for the atmosphere of San Marco and being able to sit within it and enjoy it.

Impressive location in Piazza San Marco. Excellent service and extremely kind and courteous staff. (Due to my clumsiness, I spilled the cocktail, and it was promptly remade at no additional cost.) A surefire choice for me!

A signature café with a diverse vision and interpretation. If you haven't gone to the bathroom in a while and need help, welcome. You'll pay a pretty penny, but you'll end up stuffed with bread.

We stopped for a quick morning break at 10:00 a.m. What a wonderful surprise!! Fast service, fair prices, and above all, a great welcome from Maia, who welcomed us with a wonderful smile and a quick joke!! Fantastic!!! We'll be back!! 🤗☕🥂
