Great serving squid in quite crowded outside dining area, dogs are a problem in these instances.

All food reviews are subjective but I would like to think that anyone could appreciate the quality of flavours at this restaurant. As I had lunch and dinner here several times, I also saw other people (Italians) go and thank the chef, just as I did after my first and last meal there. I initially went as they had a different style of menu to all the other places around as you do get tired of the same food being offered. So I had the excellent sushi and the raw fish (tartar and ceviche) appetizersand the sea bass which were all delicious. But what ended up blowing me away was how the simple dish of seafood spaghetti was really the best I have ever had anywhere. There was more seafood than pasta and the sauce was delicious. All I can say is - do yourselves a favour and go try ANY dish at this restaurant.

This is a hidden gem in Giardini Naxos The food and service is exceptional !!! If you are looking for a special unique food experience and you are sick of pizza and pasta you need to try PURA VIDA. Very reasonable prices and run by a husband and wife team that will make you feel so welcomed.

Excellent food👌 The menu is not so big, but the quality is very good. We enjoyed sushi California, sushi Mojito, black pasta and semifredo. All that was very tasty. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

In the short time we were in Taormina Giardini we ate at Pura Vida twice and it was fantastic twice! The dishes are prepared with love and have surprising and pure flavors. A feast for the tongue! The atmosphere is cozy and friendly and the staff ensures that you lack nothing. An address that we highly recommend!

We decided to try the Pura Vida restaurant, located facing the sea in Giardini Naxos, attracted by the numerous positive reviews. We can only confirm that every favorable comment is absolutely deserved. The quality of the food is simply fantastic: each dish is taken care of down to the smallest detail, both from an aesthetic and taste point of view. The management is family-run, and this adds a touch of warmth to the experience. The owners and staff are smiling and professional people, capable of making you feel at home and at the same time guaranteeing impeccable service. The dishes we tried were all excellent. From crispy fried foods accompanied by delicious sauces, to gourmet fish dishes that combined fresh and well-balanced flavours. Every bite was an unforgettable experience. In summary, Pura Vida is a place that is absolutely worth a visit if you are in the area. Perfect for a quality dinner, with a splendid view of the sea and a welcoming atmosphere.

22/01/2025: My father and I stopped here for lunch while cruising through Messina. This was a perfect rustic Sicilian and Italian lunch spot full of locals. The place is small and intimate and has all of the benefits of an owner operator setup. The staff are super attentive and thoughtful when it comes to the experience. Where this place really takes off is in the pasta. Great quality pasta with strong well executed flavors was great. It wasn’t a big menu but they really nailed doing a few things with exceptionally well with fresh ingredients. All food does better with the freshest of ingredients but it really is the calling card of great Italian food and this certainly was that. If I am back in Messina I will be back. Also the pistachio semifreddo was a world beater for dessert. The space is very casual and won’t wow a person but the food is where it is at. The best part of the space was that it was full of locals and regulars which made for great people watching. It is also perfect walking distance from the port in a nice part of town.
22/01/2025: Good place to eat. The winter caponata is very delicious, enough quantity to be a starter. The pasta with bacon, tomato and pistachios is spectacular, lots of quantity and well presented. The Sicilian wine and cheese risotto is a delight. The desserts of chocolate cake and pistachio semifreddo were quite acceptable. Beer at €2 and water the same. Children baked potatoes with chicken. And they invited us to coffee. The waiter was charming, very friendly. It is worth coming if you are in Messina. €70 4 people (2 children).

07/01/2025: posto molto tranquillo, buona accoglienza , buona scelta della carni, direi di ottima qualità. Abbiamo preso gli antipasti della casa , salumi eccezionali, buona la tartara. eravamo in sei e abbiamo assaggiato due primi, ottimi. Io ho voluto provare gli spiedini messinesi " braccioli" ottimi abbondanti.prezo qualità discreto.
