We went to this restaurant last night with some friends. It's a magnificent place, everything is well-maintained and unique. But let's get to the food... we were absolutely delighted both by Antonio's professionalism, who explained and advised us in great detail how each dish was prepared, as well as the provenance and properties of every ingredient used, and by the quality and deliciousness of the dishes. It's definitely a place to recommend and one we'll be returning to soon.

I stumbled upon it by chance and discovered an extraordinarily good restaurant.
I ate a few simple, home-cooked dishes, to say the least, and they were incredibly delicious.
The location was beautiful, and the owner was excellent. Even the background music was pleasant.

A truly wonderful dinner. The food was excellent; I really enjoyed the fennel meatball as a welcome drink, and the homemade bread was delicious. All the dishes we ordered and those suggested by chef Antonio were excellent and carefully prepared. If you're looking for good, quality food, I highly recommend it!

A wonderful discovery for us, in the historic center of Tricase; a beautiful location for a lovely evening; thanks to Antonio for his advice on his dishes, cooked with passion and great professionalism. We enjoyed an excellent appetizer, excellent meat dishes, and desserts with an ancient flavor.

I returned to Chiostro degli Scolopi after a first visit in the spring, and the confirmation was even more surprising than the initial discovery. A place that combines quality, care, and a truly unique atmosphere.
The appetizers were a perfect start: the caciocavallo podolico cheese with mixed salad is a balance of authentic flavors, while the artichoke with fava beans showcases local cuisine with rare delicacy. The breadmaking was also excellent, with a warm, fragrant loaf that complements the dishes without ever overpowering them.
For main courses, we chose the pork shank with mixed salad, the fillet with green pepper, and the fillet with artichokes: all impeccable in terms of cooking, flavor, and presentation. Dishes that speak of technique, raw ingredients, and passion.
Special praise goes to the kindness of the staff, always attentive without being intrusive, and to the location, which remains one of the restaurant's strong points: elegant, welcoming, and capable of making every moment special.
In short, an experience worth repeating and highly recommended. Il Chiostro degli Scolopi confirms its position as a point of reference for those seeking quality cuisine in a refined setting.

During the Cammino del Salento, as well as on Christmas Eve, we had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant. The rooms and tables are beautifully decorated, blending elegance and simplicity, creating a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.
The menu is rich in options for all diets, from carnivores to vegans, with no exceptions. Despite the potentially misleading display of various cuts of meat at the entrance, there are many vegetarian dishes featuring vegetables harvested from their own garden. Simple, balanced, traditional Salento dishes, refined... Here, everyone can find what they're looking for and be satisfied. In addition to the menu items, they also served homemade breads as appetizers.
The location was elegant and the food was quality, but what really made the difference for us was Mr. Antonio, who welcomed us with warmth and generosity. If you have the chance to chat with him, you'll see his passion for his work shine through in his eyes and manner, a warmth that touches the heart.

Se ami i sapori autentici della tradizione devi fare un giro in questo locale.
Ci sono stato a pranzo domenica scorsa. Sono stato accolto dal titolare persona solare e gentile. Mi ha mostrato la bellezza del locale e raccontato la sua storia e idea di cucina; per un curioso come me un'accoglienza top. Ambiente pulito, elegante e tranquillo. Nelle foto vi mostro alcune delle cose che ho mangiato. La novità per me sono stati i fichi in agrodolce, un esperienza di gusto molto simpatica. Tra i pani vi consiglio di provare la cucuzzata, in salento ne ho mangiate diverse ma questa mi ha stupito sia per la qualita degli ingredienti che per l'aggiunta di cima di rapa( unica cosa attenti alle olive piccole con i noccioli). Le polpettine fritte mi ricordavano quelle che preparava mia nonna. Il primo degli spaghettoni con occhipinti e cacioricotta, vi posso dire che oltre alla bellezza visiva la salivazione vi aumenterà per il buon profumo e per il sapore dato da quel pomodoro e basilico fresco. Per secondo la tagliata tenera che si scioglie in bocca anche se io l'ho fatta cuocere parecchio sulla pietra lavica perché mi piace stracotta. Mi son fermato al secondo perché era strapieno ma avrei provato anche altro del ricco menù. Per me un esperienza da rifare, vista anche la genuinità è freschezza dei prodotti. Continuate così ! Il locale, riservato e centrale si apre con un cortile che accoglie ma nasconde tutta la cura che Antonio e Luisa, titolari dell’attività, hanno riservato tanto all’allestimento delle sale e degli ambienti, quanto alla cura della materia prima e ricerca spasmodica della soddisfazione del cliente.
La specialità della casa?? Il Pesce?? Siamo a TRICASE, ebbene no… Carne dalla qualità eccelsa, antipasti di terra, primi della tradizione con ingredienti di prima scelta e sapori ricchi e avvolgenti nel rispetto della tradizione Pugliese, con ricerca dei sapori e dei colori del Salento e del Sud in genere..
I due fratelli, titolari e gestori dell’attività, ti accolgono con tutto il calore e la cura di chi ama, attraverso i clienti, esaltare la propria terra.
Cibo buonissimo, ambienti caratteristici e curati, pulizia, qualità e il prezzo?? Giusto, adeguato che non lascia delusi neanche all’uscita!!
Insomma, come amo dire sempre “io qua ci torno”.. 👏
