The best place I have ever visited in Viterbo for an apero. The staff is so friendly, the atmosphere is great. The food is delicious and the drinks are fantastic. Plus, the background music will complete the perfect vibe.

Since the restaurants are usually closed on Mondays, we spontaneously went to the cantina dei Papi. There was no cooked food, but incredibly tasty sandwiches. Very large portions for very fair prices

La Cantina dei Papi is a place that truly left me speechless, both for the environment and for the quality and variety of the dishes. Located a few steps from the Cathedral of Viterbo, in the center, it takes advantage of medieval rooms in peperino, a typical local stone. Everything has been furnished with care and attention to detail, to create a welcoming and relaxing environment. The owner Francesco welcomes you kindly and recommends the house specialties. The menu is very varied and can satisfy all tastes. I chose a gourmet platter, where there was really everything: ham, various types of salami, porchetta, various cheeses of different ages, vegetables, bresaola. The staff is very kind and fast in service. Highly recommended

É accogliente e particolare l'ambiente della Cantina dei papi. Atmosfera medievale tra mattoni, muri, legno per porte e angoli (dispiace per qualche altro punto o oggetto piuttosto fuori testo). Si mangia un buon tagliere misto salumi e formaggi, il ragù rosso, l'abbacchio allo scottadito. Sfiziosi gli arrosticini. Da provare anche il lardo di patanegra e la cheesecake. Buona la carta dei vini. Da bere il Bolgheri rosso Iris Ferrari. Personale garbato e gentile. Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo.
