Principe d’ Altamura is een Pugliees restaurant in Padova. De keuken is er eenvoudig maar bijzonder lekker. Geen franjes, maar de pure keuken waar Italië voor beroemd is. De zaakvoerder en de kok zijn de twee enige personeelsleden. Je moet er niet te lang wachten, maar anderzijds is er voldoende tijd tussen voorgerecht en hoofdschotel. Tijd om te genieten en daar draait het om. De verwelkoming is hartelijk. De gerechten zijn top! : We begonnen met de klassieke brusschette al pomodore, nadien pasta met heerlijke tomatensaus en harde Pecorino kaas enerzijds en polpette die carne, vleesballen in tomatensaus. Eenvoudig maar super lekker. Een eerlijke keuken voor een zeer schappelijke prijs. Wellicht één van de verborgen parels in Padova.
