Prestipino Cafe In Catania

We stopped at this beautiful place as soon as we arrived in Catania to try an excellent lemon granita with brioche... excellent... recommended...

The place is wonderful, it consists of many rooms and has on display delicious and beautiful desserts to look at. The assortment is very wide and even the ice cream is excellent. You can sit either at the internal tables or at the external tables under the umbrellas. The staff is very kind and professional.

I was in Catania on June 31, 1 and 2, 2025, what can I say, 5 stars??, but also 10 stars, cannoli, Sant'Agata minette, Sant'Agata olives, cannoli, etc., everything top, excellent, almost VIP breakfast in the morning with almond granita and brioche with tuppo in a relaxing but also suggestive context, I bought some products to take home, it wasn't the first time that I happened to be in Catania I went to this pastry shop and it won't be the last, I can't wait to return, friendly, kind and nice staff, a greeting to the "nice, courteous and kind" lady, maybe she won't remember, I'm the boy of the 6 cannoli plus one added later and 3 mini travel minette on June 2, I hope to return soon

A wonderful pastry shop, a very good bar in the center of Catania. Sicily has all the credentials to be a leader in the cultural and economic rebirth thanks to tourism. Staff quite ready even in the large number of people. The risk of high prices is there, but to date the proposal of "typical pastry shop" with a "fair" PRICE is still valid ... the quality is truly that of our "homeland of sweets". A Catania è un’istituzione. Frequentatissimo e osannato dalla gente del posto, impossibile da ignorare se sei un turista. Non potrai dire di essere stato in questa città se non avrai fatto almeno una visita da Prestipino. Il locale è molto ampio, con sala e salette, organizzato sia per la consumazione sul posto con tavoli anche all’aperto sia per l’asporto complice anche una vasta gamma di dolci, torte, paste. Qui si fa anche ristorazione e si può quindi mangiare un po’ a tutte le ore del giorno. Prodotti in genere di qualità, servizio spesso molto affrettato con un grado di cortesia che probabilmente oscilla in base alla maggiore o minore stanchezza del personale. E’ umano. I costi sono corretti, al tavolo tutto si paga un po’ di più complice il servizio. E non a caso tendono a farti accomodare in uno dei tanti tavoli, mentre osteggiano un po’ il consumo al banco, nonostante ci siano anche ampie e lunghe mensole con sgabelli dove potersi appoggiare. Per me qui è imperdibile la brioche con granita, a colazione ma anche a qualsiasi altra ora del giorno. Provate quella al pistacchio, è notevole.

Locale che si trova in centro a Catania. Abbiamo consumato dei caffè al banco, ed in effetti ho notato che il personale non è particolarmente carino verso il cliente.
