Very shiny place in Piazza Del Duomo. Hard to miss. Has wide array of food and dessert options. We opted for the spinach arancini and two types of cannoli : the ricotta and the pistachio. Everything was great! Plenty of seating as well but beware of heavy outside of people smoking outside in classic Italy fashion

Prestipino Duomo, located in the heart of Old Town Catania at Piazza Duomo, is a fantastic spot for coffee and desserts. They offer a wide variety of desserts, cakes, ice cream, and drinks. I tried the ice cream in brioche, a maple pecan Danish, and an Americano with almond milk—all of which were incredibly fresh and flavorful. The café’s location adds to its charm, providing a vibrant and atmospheric backdrop. Despite its central location, the prices are surprisingly affordable compared to other nearby cafes. This is definitely a must-visit place in Catania’s city center!

The breakfasts in Piazza Duomo in Catania are fantastic if you go to Prestipino! I go crazy for Irises! The delicious granita!

It is located in Piazza del Duormo. The breakfasts are typical of Sicily. For me, the best was the pistachio granita with the brioche (they gave it to us hot there). The service is fast (we went in low season). Highly recommended.

Istituzione catanese quanto a dolciumi tipici siciliani di ogni genere, granite, arancini, cartocciate e ogni tipo di golosità vi possa venire in mente! Location bellissima proprio davanti al duomo con tavolini all'aperto oppure all'interno con arredamenti eleganti e particolari. Personale professionale e cortese, menzione speciale per la simpaticissima cassiera! Preparano anche speciali confezioni da viaggio che resistono fino a 9 ore o spediscono in tutta Italia e pure all'estero.
