Nice refuge located at around 2,100 meters and 2 km from the start of the Monterotta walk. About twenty seats indoors and about forty on the tables outside. Fairly fast service and good quality of food. Reduced menu (usually 4 starters, 3 first courses, 3/4 second courses, 3/4 desserts) made up almost entirely of typical dishes. The owner is mystical, an elderly lady who keeps everyone, customers and employees, in a hurry. Fairly low prices. It is almost mandatory to book. Advised.

This hut is the ideal place to stop when traveling along the marmot path coming from Sestriere. They have tasty typical dishes and we have always enjoyed having lunch here. Since it is a very popular place, reservations are necessary during crowded periods.

Everything wonderful!! Panorama, refuge, quality of food (the tagliatelle with hare ragù and the nettle gnocchi are exceptional). Mandatory stop on the splendid walk above Sestriere.

13/07/2024: Very good to try and try again. Sunday lunch with the whole family (four generations from a few months to over 90 years old). Excellent grilled meat as a main course, but start with a taste of cooked bacon and bruschetta with fresh tomato; we then continue with an interesting mix of 5 starters in a boat (raw meat, veal with tuna sauce, green anchovies, tomino cheese with honey and hazelnuts, Russian salad). Finally, after the mixed grill with ribs, sausage and skewers, but there is also a version richer in types of meat, a good sorbet and coffee at the end.
