Lovely place for panoramic view of the snow-capped mountains. It can be reached via a small snow-covered pedestrian road in less than an hour from Sestriere. Good quality cuisine.

Nice refuge located at around 2,100 meters and 2 km from the start of the Monterotta walk. About twenty seats indoors and about forty on the tables outside. Fairly fast service and good quality of food. Reduced menu (usually 4 starters, 3 first courses, 3/4 second courses, 3/4 desserts) made up almost entirely of typical dishes. The owner is legendary, an elderly lady who keeps everyone moving, customers and employees alike. Fairly low prices. It is almost mandatory to book. Advised.

Place with an enchanting view reachable with a nice walk from Sestrieres. In my opinion, however, the prices are a little too high, considering the fairly limited menu to choose from, even if, I understand, we are at more than 2000 meters above sea level in the middle of the mountain and you can't give more. Furthermore, the polenta concia, characteristic of the restaurant, was not available. The desserts were exquisite.

Even though we are just a few minutes by asphalt road from the center of Sestriere, we were struck by the atmosphere, thanks above all to the wonderful view enjoyed from the seats outside. For lunch, a few typical dishes, from venison to polenta, from hare ragout to sausage. Variable depending on the day, they can be read on the blackboard. Super sweets. Prices normal. Very kind service, we had a really good time. Reservation required on weekends.
