Poppy's In Carbonia

I've been going to Poppy's for years, and I can honestly say it's my favorite gourmet pizzeria (and I've tried many). You don't just go to Poppy's for pizza; it's a truly extraordinary culinary experience, one of those unforgettable ones. The attention to detail is absolute, the flavors are unique, and the products have a quality that can't be explained in words. As if that weren't enough, the staff is wonderful, the place is very cute and well-kept; it's impossible to find a flaw. ❤️

Gambero Rosso 2-slice pizzeria. Very friendly staff, with a helpful and courteous waitress. There were four of us and we ordered four pizzas (truffle, San Salvatore, cinghialotta, vegan), one buffalo burrata, four beers, three desserts (one Atto Secondo Mango and two Como una Cuba), two rum shots, one still water, and one coffee. Bill: €136.20 (€34 each). Atto Secondo Mango: White chocolate egg with mango filling. Como una Cuba: Chocolate cigar, coated in bitter cocoa and filled with tiramisu cream. It arrives at the table under a smoked glass dome, accompanied by a rum shot. Dipping it in rum faithfully reproduces the experience of a real cigar. Special mention for the truffle and the Como una Cuba. Passed.

Unique and truly palatable pizzas. The doughs, unlike traditional ones, are a winning choice because they allow you to enjoy original dishes, carefully crafted down to the smallest detail, with unusual yet thoughtful combinations. I also had the pleasure of meeting the chef at the counter, who was very friendly. I especially recommend the Alhambra: a unique, surprising, and delicious pizza. The dough is perfectly worked, and you can immediately taste the quality; it's quite generous and rich in toppings, so it's a bit challenging, but so good that you can easily finish it. I also want to mention the service: very kind and thorough in explaining and offering options for what you'll enjoy next. The other pizzas we tried were also excellent, with balanced combinations and top-quality ingredients. Highly recommended. I hope to return soon!

Exceptional Great preparation of the dough and great creativity in the menu. We tried two of the top dishes to share and were impressed. It's a shame we can't go back more often.

The welcome and atmosphere were excellent, with very friendly and helpful staff. As for the food, there were two of us and we had two pizzas with a tasting menu. We tried the truffle and lemon pizzas, both excellent. The lemon pizza stands out for its lightness and contrasting flavors, while the truffle pizza, perfect for those with a sweet tooth, offers an experience of intense and varied flavors. I recommend this place both for those who want to enjoy an extraordinary pizza with high-quality ingredients, combinations, and preparation, and for those coming from abroad who want an authentic gourmet Italian pizza experience.
