Pizzeria Caroli Fabio

02/06/2026: I've been going to this pizzeria for years, and I have to say it's getting better and better. I'm celiac and lactose intolerant, and the last time we went, the calzones, pizzas, and supplì we had were delicious, both in terms of dough and toppings. Plus, they're very professional. Definitely worth a try.
25/03/2026: Welcoming, clean, and friendly atmosphere. The chef is incredibly courteous and empathetic. It was almost thrilling to find an entirely vegan menu with so many options, from appetizers to pizzas. There are also several options for celiacs. Truly surprising, even if it shouldn't be in 2026. I had supplì, pizza, and bruschetta, all impeccable. We were all very happy with the quality of the restaurant; highly recommended. I rarely write reviews with great joy. Thank you, Pizzeria Caprioli, for giving me reason to do so. Keep up the good work!

Taverna Testaccio

02/06/2025: There were four of us for lunch; two had a matriciana, the others a steak, and the other meatballs. To finish the meal, three chicory leaves and a roast potato were served. Half a liter of house wine, mineral water, and coffee. 120 euros Of course, everything was good quality and the service was efficient, but honestly, €30 per person for such a simple and quick meal seems like a quick profit to me. With a few more euros, we could have had a proper full-course fish lunch elsewhere. I'm very sorry, but I can't give more than 3 stars.
22/05/2025: The funniest thing is that I discovered them on Instagram, but when I booked I didn't immediately connect. They perfectly lived up to the image they convey on social media: friendly, down-to-earth, and charming; it was like going to eat at a friend's house I hadn't seen in a while. The food, in my opinion, was superb, traditional dishes that we've sadly lost over the years, like the boiled meatballs, which I ate for the first time, incredibly good. The Gricia and Matriciana were perfect, and the zabaglione semifreddo dessert was truly delicious. And it was all served very quickly by the guy—I think his name is Valerio—very friendly, and always with a smile. It's on my list of typical places. I'll be back with my brother, who always looks forward to traditional dishes when he comes to Rome. The prices are perfectly in line, in my opinion. See you soon!
