For our last evening in Venice, we chose Trattoria Bar Pontini because of its great reviews and ratings. We were not disappointed. You have to make a reservation if you want to dine here. It is a very popular restaurant with good reason. The atmosphere is joyful and upbeat. They had a table ready and waiting for us. Fabio was a terrific owner – he sailed through the restaurant making everyone feel welcome. I ordered the Cotoletta Vitella all Milanese, which was huge and perfectly battered and fried. I also ordered an Insalata Mista. My husband enjoyed the Filetto di Manzo Gorgonzola along with roast potatoes. I have to tell you they were the best roasted potatoes we had in all of Italy. They were to die for – crisp – not greasy – just fantastic! He finished with an enormous Tiramisu. One thing is for sure, you will not leave hungry from Trattoria Pontini.

10/02/2025: Excellent restaurant in a quiet area. Authentic atmosphere, good table service, excellent service. The food was very good and plentiful. Generous portions and a fair price. I enjoyed the carbonara and the tiramisu. I would go back and recommend it to anyone passing through Venice. Excellent for dinner, calm and peaceful atmosphere. I loved the experience
09/02/2025: Traveling combining work and pleasure in Venice, we had dinner with a friend in this beautiful location. The brick interior is warm, the windows and the suggestive atmosphere, the service at the top, the food good (I had linguine with seafood, abundant, rich in fish and very good, my friend had a Milanese-style elephant ear cutlet, well fried), the plus is in the service, defined by someone in the reviews as old from the 80s... but this type of service is welcome in which they pay homage to you when you arrive with a welcome glass and at the end of the meal with sorbet to make up for your palate. Honestly, in a Venice that I find more expensive and limited in food every year, I'm still welcome to find an honest and welcoming restaurateur that you'll find when you come to the ancient Sacristy. Highly recommended!

04/01/2025: Excellent trattoria a stone's throw from Piazza San Marco, excellent value for money. The kindness of the excellent staff, especially Michele at the reception. I recommend it!!!
