Ponticello Lido In Lecce

It's closed, but open for a cup of coffee between work shifts. So the service is excellent. It was also a chilly day, closing the season. So I didn't really get a good impression. But I think it looks fantastic when it's busy and summery. The surrounding area is nice. So the review isn't high, but I'm guessing it's normally much better.

Very kind and helpful staff. We had a hard time finding the entrance, but just call and they'll direct you (from the dirt road, continue straight, turn right, and you're there; then walk to the beach walkway, marked with lights and torches). Excellent seafood, right on the waterfront. A welcoming, elegant atmosphere that makes you feel at home.

The restaurant offers dinner in a truly excellent setting with a sea view. The food we tried was nothing short of fabulous; everything was truly delicious and the portions generous. The staff is very knowledgeable and courteous, with an uncommon kindness that's hard to find. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an excellent seafood dinner by the sea in a very quiet and private setting. It's a shame we live far away and can't return...

I've been coming to San Cataldo for several years and have tried several different beaches over the years, especially on the left side of the lighthouse. This is probably the one offering the best value for money. Its strengths are the large, well-spaced umbrellas. It's one of the few stretches of beach in San Cataldo without rocks, making it convenient for families with children. There's a large bar with a pleasant patio and a well-stocked restaurant with good food. Reasonable prices. Cons: The stretch of coastline where the Ponticello is located is very windy, making it uncomfortable on some days. The parking lot is completely unpaved.
