Pomella In Finale ligure

Everything was delicious, including the freshly made and fragrant focaccia pesto. We recommend the Ligurian-style mussels (one of the specials of the day).

Pomella is always a hit!! The focaccia with gorgonzola and figs is extraordinary, as are the off-menu first courses, such as the scialatielli with pecorino cream, zucchini, and cherry tomatoes, and the mango mousse. The place is very quaint and the staff is very welcoming!!

During my vacation in Finale Ligure, I had the pleasure of dining at Pomella, a one-of-a-kind restaurant housed in a former olive oil mill. The location is simply enchanting: original walls and historic floors create an authentic and charming atmosphere, with tables positioned in unique corners that make for a truly unique experience. The service deserves special mention: the staff is attentive, helpful, and immediately puts guests at ease. Friendly yet professional, they know how to best welcome both tourists and those seeking a quality experience in Finale Ligure. As for the cuisine, the quality is top-notch. There were four of us, and we started with a charcoal-baked focaccia topped with figs and gorgonzola, a surprising and exceptional off-menu item. Next, we focused on meat: sausage, chicken, and mixed grill, all dishes cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The side dishes are also excellent—fried potatoes, baked potatoes, and baked potatoes—perhaps a little limited in quantity, but of great quality. All this is made even more enjoyable by the truly fair value for money, a rare find in other tourist destinations. In short, Pomella in Finale Ligure is a restaurant not to be missed: a charming and elegant location, delicious cuisine, impeccable service, and fair prices. A place I'll definitely return to and highly recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable dinner on the Ligurian Riviera.

The staff is a bit chaotic. You order something from someone, then a colleague comes and asks again what the order is. Order a mixed grill for 19 euros, fried potatoes/fries, and order a baked potato with sauce separately for 6 or 7 euros per portion. You'd think you'd get a decent portion for 6 or 7 euros. Not so, 2 or 3 pieces of potato, and look at the price for that baked potato. Truly scandalous!

I was pleasantly surprised by this focacceria-restaurant: a true haven of authentic flavor. The focaccia dough is light, fragrant, and flavorful, with that perfect combination of crispy outside and soft inside that only true masters can achieve. The fillings are rich, fresh, and high-quality, from the classic tomato and mozzarella to more creative and gourmet variations. The place is welcoming, with attention to detail and a family atmosphere, while the staff is friendly, smiling, and always attentive to the customer's needs. The quality-price ratio is also excellent. A place where you can sense the passion for cooking and hospitality: I will definitely return and recommend it to anyone who wants to savor an unforgettable focaccia.

Nice atmosphere, but unfortunately disappointing. We were there in July 2025. The outdoor area was very atmospheric, the ambiance rustic and charming – we were looking forward to a lovely evening. Unfortunately, the service was extremely hectic. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait, the waiters were very hectic, and communication when ordering was difficult – we had to point and gesture several times to order (which wasn't a big deal, since we didn't speak Italian), but the wrong dishes were still brought three times. Ordered drinks (water) were forgotten or brought very late, but wine glasses were set for the children. But you can live with that. The worst part was the extremely small portions! Adding lettuce leaves to the portions didn't help. Even with the appetizer, it wasn't filling. There was no bread. Side dishes had to be ordered separately, which ultimately drove up the price. Even the children weren't satisfied. The tiramisu was delicious – unfortunately, the highlight of the evening, if you wanted to get somewhat full.

A stay in Finale Ligure requires a stop at Pomella. The menu caters to everyone, from meat lovers to fish lovers, and for those unsure, their gourmet focaccias, available in a wide variety of combinations, can be an excellent appetizer shared with friends or a complete meal if eaten individually. The focaccia with burrata and red shrimp is one of their specialties, while another favorite in winter is pears, gorgonzola cheese, and walnuts. The location is unique, resembling an old farmhouse or animal shelter that has been renovated to preserve its authentic flavor. The restaurateurs, Jacopo and Simone, are affable and friendly, and are able to respond to guests' requests quickly, even during peak periods. In addition to the extensive menu, they always offer daily specials that expand their dining options. Recommended for everyone.

Questo ristorantino a Finale mi ha conquistato! L'atmosfera è accogliente e il personale è di una gentilezza squisita. Ma il vero protagonista è il cibo: semplicemente ottimo. La carne è di qualità eccellente, cotta alla perfezione e ogni piatto è un'esplosione di gusto. Consigliatissimo per gli amanti del buon mangiare che cercano un'esperienza culinaria memorabile.
