A very rustic place with a huge fireplace in full view, where they cook textbook meat dishes. I had a lovely medium-rare rib-eye steak, tender and juicy, accompanied by a focaccia cooked with lard. The place is very busy, and reservations are mandatory well in advance. I've been back three more times, and I can fully confirm my impressions.

AMBIENCE: Last Friday I went to eat at this restaurant located at Via Appia 38. As soon as I entered, I noticed how spacious and well-maintained it was. A large fire was burning, its crackling sound seeming to set the pace for my steps. The tables were set, full of customers already enjoying the restaurant's dishes. I was greeted by a waitress who professionally led me to my table.
EXPERIENCE: As a welcome gift, I was brought bruschetta drizzled with olive oil. The crunchiness of the bread and the acidic flavor of the olive oil were a pleasant start to my dinner. I ordered a pasta dish with creamed broccoli and sausage. The pasta's texture was pleasant, and the silky creamy broccoli paired perfectly with the bold flavor of the sausage. For my second course, I ordered rare sirloin steak and baked potatoes on the side. Even before the meat was brought to my table, I had the opportunity to watch the chef arrange it on the stove, an experience I found both interesting and enjoyable. Once ready, it was brought to me immediately. The sirloin was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, the meat was rare, just as I'd requested, and the baked potatoes were perfect, seasoned with rosemary, which gave the potatoes a delicious aroma. To conclude my meal, I ordered a sorbet, whose sweet and tart flavor was a perfect end to my meal.
BILL: I found the bill to be in line with the service received and the food ordered.

We had tripe and coratella (excellent) with generous portions as appetizers, then we had a medium-sized tagliata (meat by weight) of superior quality, grilled, really good, accompanied by a side of baked potatoes. It was all accompanied by good house wine, and we finished with dessert and gentian.
Large restaurant with ample parking, very courteous and quick waiters.
We had never been there before, so it was a great discovery.
