Today we were looking for something to eat, as we were caught in the siesta window and couldn't find anything else. Every bad thing has a silver lining. The food was delicious, the service was charming, and the apricot cake for dessert was a delight. I highly recommend it.

Panificio Marè Prati

30/11/2025: After a month of living here in the Prati area, I finally managed to get off work one Saturday morning, so walking past this bakery, captivated primarily by the long line of people, I decided to stop and try it. Perhaps it was too crowded, though I found the staff very fast, and the Christmas invasion (dozens of panettone boxes surrounding you). The atmosphere didn't seem very welcoming, but the staff's courtesy made me feel at home. I sampled some focaccia or pizza bianca (for a Genoese, focaccia is a different matter, hehe), and ordered some pizzas for an aperitivo and some bread. Everything was excellent. I'll definitely be back when I have a free Saturday.
26/11/2025: An excellent neighborhood bakery that has earned a well-deserved reputation for its bread, pizza, and pastries. Always a bit crowded, but well-run by two quick-witted ladies who occasionally offer advice. The whole-wheat, seeded bread is excellent. A little more expensive, but the quality is excellent.
