28/03/2026: Very nice place, friendly staff especially the friendly owner, good and plentiful food 😊we will be back
06/03/2026: A very aesthetically pleasing venue, with ample parking just a few meters away. It's located inside the Cantina San Marco winery in Frascati, in a well-kept and pleasant setting.
Despite it being a weekday evening, the noise level in the dining room was quite high. The menu offers several fixed options, but we chose to order à la carte thanks to a The Fork promotion. Overall, considering the prices, it's probably worth opting for one of the tasting menus.
The appetizer for two is generous: cured meats, mozzarella, a large slice of cheese, vegetables, and carasau bread. The portions are generous, the quality good, though not excellent, but overall enjoyable.
Among the first courses, we tried the amatriciana: tasty and well-made, although with less guanciale than the traditional recipe. The menu states that the pasta portion is 150g, but in my opinion it seemed slightly less.
Having frequented the restaurant in the past, on recent visits I've noticed that some dishes have slightly smaller portions than I remembered, and the quality has also seemed a bit less consistent. Nothing particularly negative, but it's something I've noticed over time. Overall, without any specials or fixed formulas, the prices aren't particularly low.
The wine list is extensive, with a particular focus on Cantina San Marco's own labels, which are very interesting to discover.
