Pizzeria Sayonara In

Sayonara is a very popular lunch spot among locals if you're spending the whole day at the beach. There's almost always a free table, and the food comes quickly. Of course, it's not a fine Michelin-starred restaurant, but for a very relaxed beach atmosphere, the food is really high-quality and good. You order using a slip of paper that's brought to your table. You write your name on it and check the dishes you want. You hand it over to the cashier, and when the food is ready, your name is announced, and you can pick it up. I find that quite funny. Sayonara also has its own, not-so-small beach with loungers and umbrellas for rent. Unfortunately, we didn't ask how much they cost because we always stayed at other "Bagnos," such as Bagno Carlo Rossi, Bagno Flora, or Bagno Grazia. The restaurant isn't as busy in the evenings, so if you can't get a seat at the neighboring and very popular "La Caretta" and you're hungry, you can't go wrong here. The pizza Margherita for €5 was our perennial favorite, also available to take back to our vacation apartment. My tip: the swordfish for €13. The house wine is also delicious and, like everything else, absolutely affordable.

I stopped for a beer with friends, and we got 1 focaccia, chips and croquettes to nibble on, the focaccia is more of a "scrocchiarella" than a focaccia, nice atmosphere and very good beer

I come here every time I vacation in Marina di Massa, but I have to say that today I found the menu selection more limited than in previous years. Anyway, the food was good.

There's no cover charge. For two, we had mixed fried seafood, a plate of McDonald's-style fries, bread, a sandwich, and a plate of octopus salad with potatoes, olives, and water. €39.70. Everything was good, and the staff were friendly.

The pizza wasn't great... The seats inside were without air conditioning... Outside, however... in the August heat... they could have at least had some fans to circulate the air...

Casual atmosphere, good food, and great prices for the area. You can walk in without a reservation.

Very welcoming place, clean both indoors and outdoors, fresh food, fast and prepared on the spot, the staff in the dining room is very polite and kind, it's a shame that they don't show respect to the girls who work in the dining room... anyway, reasonable prices and also very fast for takeaway
