Pizzeria San Gennaro in Cariati Marina is a true delight for pizza lovers. The pizzas are large, thick, easy to digest, and come in a wide variety: there's something for everyone! The atmosphere is charming and welcoming, perfect for a pleasant evening. Excellent pizza, definitely worth returning for.

Recommended by my brother-in-law, we were satisfied with both the pizzas and the service. We will return.

The renovated premises are the first positive development, and the pizza is always good. It's definitely worth a visit for anyone on holiday in Cariati.

On holiday in Cariati I went to this place with my husband and our dog for the first time tonight (20/06/2025). I had a S. Gennaro pizza, my husband a Diavola pizza with the addition of 'nduja. We were satisfied with the dough, the generous topping, the digestibility. Friendly staff, fair prices. The only suggestion I would give is to include the half liter or quarter for the wine instead of just the bottle. If a person goes to eat alone or as a couple, but only one of the two drinks wine, it is not conceivable to order a bottle for €12 (i.e. the cost of two classic pizzas!), to drink half a glass. Since not everyone likes to take away what is left over for either food or drinks, in the end you give up wine altogether. Of course there is beer in different measures, but not everyone likes beer just as not everyone likes to pair pizza with fizzy drinks in cans! The lack of "bulk" wine in the menu is the reason why I give four stars, otherwise I would have given five without reservations...

Renovated compared to last year, the pizzeria has changed many aspects, the furniture, nice in line with the restyling, there are more tables than before, the oven has been moved to the opposite side and unfortunately it is gas. But the owner's lack of willingness to discuss with customers is the dissonant element together with the pizza that is completely different from the previous one and the lady did not like it and hid behind the cash register annoyed by the criticism shown. Pizza with a low edge, one burnt underneath, croquettes with little salt and dry arancini. I hope they change everything, it would be a shame to do without. I compliment you on the price.
