Pizzeria Rusticanella In Viareggio

28/01/2025: Neapolitan pizzeria (in name and in fact) in Massarosa, in via di Montramito. Good quality pizzas, obviously of the Neapolitan type, quite simple in terms of the variety of toppings, despite the higher than average prices. We had a "special" and a "spring" and we enjoyed both, although the cherry tomatoes in the "spring" were not confit, unlike what was specified on the menu. A slightly higher cooking would have done well (fairly pale cornice in both). We concluded with a babà (not from the house), as there was a rather limited dessert list (and none truly artisanal): the dough was excellent, soft and spongy, but the syrup was completely devoid of rum, resulting in excessive sweetness. Quick service, despite the crowded place, and friendly staff. Medium-high prices, especially for drinks.
