A simple, family-run trattoria that lives up to expectations and surprises with the price. Having two first courses and two second courses, a side dish, a dessert, water, and a 1/4 cup of red wine for €44 is unthinkable in Italy these days. Everything was simple but delicious, just like you'd cook at home. The owner deserves my respect for his dedication and honesty in his work.

If you want to eat excellent, homemade food on Sundays, you have to come to Cesare and try the roast nana in addition to the full menu.

Cesare is always a guarantee. Traditional food, all homemade. The atmosphere is rustic and welcoming. Everything is cooked to order.

We stopped here with friends for lunch before heading to Montepulciano. Good service, excellent food, and good wine. The atmosphere is like an old trattoria. Good, average prices. If we're in the area, we'll definitely visit again.
