The best "fritta" in Brindisi and therefore in Salento. In Bari they call it panzerotto, in Lecce calzone, basically it is the Neapolitan fried pizza with a filling of mozzarella and tomato. This is the best place to eat it, really (said by a Lecce native...). Spartan environment but who cares. Good price. Must try.

Is it pizza in a doughnut? Or donut flavored pizza? Who cares, try the fritta like everyone else and decide for yourself. We stumbled upon this bustling hole in the wall one evening and returned the next night. No, it’s not the most amazing pizza you’ll ever have. But it’s genuine, unique, and full of energy from the delightful staff to everyone in line, grabbing a bite, or on a date outside. People watching at is finest, in something of a good food desert (sorry, it’s true Brindisi) Romanelli stands out as something legit.

We had a salsiccia pizza and a pistacchio pizza. Both were incredibly delicious, and the size was also perfect. And all for the unbeatable price of €8 per pizza. The staff were very nice. The atmosphere is simple, considering the circumstances, but still pleasant. The shop is also geared more towards walk-in customers. Highly recommended!

16/06/2025: Welcoming and authentic atmosphere. The quality of the food is excellent. Attentive, kind and friendly service. Special thanks to Giosuè for his excellent and attentive service.
15/06/2025: The trattoria has a deliberately rustic and unmodernized setting. It feels like going back in time both for the place full of objects from a long time ago, and for the ancient and sincere flavors of the good foods of the past. The service is fast and accurate and the dishes are excellent and well presented.

05/03/2025: Yesterday, on our first trip to Carovigno, we discovered Pizzeria Peter Pan for lunch. The pizza and puccia were delicious, truly delicious. And we enjoyed Teo's warm hospitality; very welcoming. We'll definitely be back to enjoy both the food AND Teo!
