The service was friendly and good despite the busy evening. However our seafood pizza was extremely poor - they even put there surimi! 🙈 The only good thing about pizza was the opportunity to make it of Kamut dough. And I must admit that the Strudel was really home made - not too sweet, just perfect. So I would only recommend it there.

The pizza is very tasty and came very quickly. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the prices are very good. So an absolute recommendation if you want to eat a real Italian pizza, but the other dishes are also highly recommended. The best way to reach the pizzeria is by train, which stops right next to the pizzeria, but there are also plenty of parking spaces available.

The pizza was fantastic! Yes, I'd love to come back. It doesn't look that inviting from the outside, but the pizzas are really awesome.

I only made a small pit stop on the way through, only 3 espressos, 3 cappuccinos + 3 🍷o.k. It was a slightly longer pit stop...! 6 hours, beautifully enjoying the spring sunshine in the winter garden/terrace that was open to the top...! A relief after the long winter in Germany...! Long live South Tyrol and BELLA iTALiA 🇮🇹 👍👍👍

Cafe Wandelhalle

28/05/2025: A visit to Café Wandelhalle in Merano is a standard part of our itinerary whenever we're in South Tyrol. The service is always friendly and attentive, without exception. You can sit comfortably by the river (with the wonderful background noise) or under the arches and watch the passersby strolling by. They offer small snacks and drinks, and you can easily spend an entire day here with a good book.
04/05/2025: We always enjoy being here. The friendly service particularly stands out.
