Located in the heart of the historic center of Taranto, the "Gatto rosso" restaurant is a true gem for fish lovers. The menu is a triumph of freshness and local flavours. I started with a mixed appetizer of raw and gratinated seafood. Each dish was prepared with the freshest ingredients and presented with care. As a first course, I chose cacio e pepe with red prawn tartare. Furthermore, it was my cousin's birthday and they prepared the cake for us, giving us an exceptional surprise and we ended on a high note. The staff was friendly and professional. Thanks to Agostino who was extremely kind, attentive and a wonderful person! a restaurant that I highly recommend to anyone visiting Taranto. An excellent choice to enjoy the best fresh fish in the region in an enchanting setting. I can't wait to go back!

Normal, fairly traditional dishes, prices well above average for a restaurant with traditional dishes. Insufficient air conditioning.

I had dinner at the Il Gatto Rosso restaurant with my family. Attentive and delicate service, very pleasant, super raw materials... We tasted the seafood with raw seafood and prawns, truly exceptional, even if I wanted a larger portion, given the cost, this does not detract from the goodness.. Refined and well-made cuisine, the fried fish in particular, the best I've ever tasted. Among all the dishes, the only one that I found subdued is the grilled squid, compared to the other dishes, good but a little banal with cherry tomatoes, rocket and balsamic vinegar... I suggest giving it a little more oomph, in line with the goodness and the delicious combinations of the other dishes...The final mandarin sorbet is also wonderful, compliments to the kitchen staff and the dining room staff, you are the must of the place.

We spent a very pleasant evening, the quality of the food is excellent, the dishes balanced and tasty. Good cellar, friendly service even if a little slow. Prices in line with the quality of the food.

We had dinner here for the first time tonight, they had spoken very well about it and we decided to try it. Excellent and quality food, very fresh raw fish, equally delicious mixed starter. We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed everything. We will definitely be back!
