One of the best pizzerias in Udine. Located in lower Baldasseria, a little outside the center of Udine but easily reachable by car, it offers excellent Neapolitan pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven or fried or double cooked. Wide choice of gourmet pizzas (some very good but objectively too expensive, even €18.50). In summer there is the possibility of sitting on an outdoor patio. Overall a place to eat excellent pizza in an informal and relaxed environment.

Updated review: when I want pizza at Mario's it's a guarantee. Faithful to real Neapolitan pizza. Definitely the best pizzeria in all of Udine and its province. Recommended closed today Review 2 years ago: I was here for the first time today, intrigued by the fact that they made real Neapolitan pizza. I took the "Nonna Carmela" pizza with the crust filled with meatballs. The dough is truly exceptional and light, the sauce is very tasty. Without any doubt identical to the real Neapolitan pizza. I can't wait to try the fried pizza and the classic Margherita. Definitely recommended!!!!

Nice environment even if too noisy, good pizza, friendly staff, but gentlemen, €6 for an Aperol spriz seems really too much to me!!

Really good seaweed Pizzelle/Zoppoline appetizers. Truly Neapolitan Neapolitan pizza. Fresh and typical ingredients. Friendly and professional staff, perhaps a little slow service (but it was full). Delicious and typical desserts. We will be back for sure. Update a few years later: and obviously we went back lots of times after this first review, so much so that it is now our trusted and reference pizzeria. Also good to take away in high quality packaging that doesn't cause the pizza to stick to the 1980s cardboard. An absolutely deserved success.

Purtroppo non posso fare una recensione eccellente, l’acustica del piano interrata terrificante molto chiassosa nonostante ci fossero poche persone. La 4 formaggi non eccellente a detto di un amico e per me poco digeribile la margherita con mozzarella di bufala. Peccato personale molto simpatico

Amazing pizza! They were unexpectedly large. We each ordered one plus salads and a bruschetta to share… enough for 8 instead of 4 people. Pizza was the absolute best but they could improve their limited wine selection.

08/08/2024: Never eaten so well in any other Friulian mountain hut!! Sublime ricotta! The yogurt with jam is highly recommended! The service was also excellent and what can I say about the location.. Vote ten 😁🤗
