02/07/2025: Here is a little gem to visit, in what seems like a deserted little town, Asciano. We walked many times and noticed La Mencia empty, either it's too early for us Australians or the place doesn't have a good reputation. We were wrong on both accounts, walking through the empty restaurant opened up to a beautiful outdoor dining with lots of guests. Here is where you find where the true experience of La Mencia starts. With its umbrellas, hedging and creepers give it an awesome atmosphere while enjoying your meal. Great food and wine brought a smile to our faces. Tip: Look further in, you'll be surprised by what you might find.

30/06/2025: The garden behind the restaurant is really nice and cool. We were served by a very kind waitress who spoke perfect French. I had a very good salad with buffoon mozzarella. The pizzas, however, weren't the best.
