Dinner between two friends, we found the place while walking through the center of Stresa and stopped to eat. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of the food! I had a Fassona burger with crazy bread, very good! My friend had spaghetti with the scent of the sea, a generous dish served in the pan, very tasty! The dessert was the perfect icing on the cake for this dinner. If we really have to find a "flaw" the tables are a little too close. We were served by Andrea, friendly and helpful, at the end of dinner he even advised us on what to visit and what other places to eat. We absolutely recommend this restaurant!

We were always warmly welcomed here and a table was set up for us with space for a high chair and stroller. The staff was very child friendly. The food was very good. As a small group, we tried a variety of dishes and were very satisfied with everything. When it came to the wine, our taste was always well met after advice from the waiter.

We received excellent service and had our drinks really quickly. The meal took a while, but that's normal for this business. The portion (we had a Poke and Milanese (sorry for the wrong spelling)) were more than sufficient. And everyone around us was happy and content too. The waiting guests were sweetened their waiting time with free drinks. We have decided that we can recommend this restaurant 100%. And one more thing about the prices... Shop and cook yourself!!! It's almost impossible to do the whole thing at these prices!!!

We stayed in Stresa for three nights and ate here on our first night. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. Dont look at the 3 rating. It's definitely a 5 star.

26/08/2024: Mandatory stop on every stay in Santa Maria. Courteous staff, absolutely reasonable prices, everything good, both pizza and first courses, second courses, polenta.
25/08/2024: Invited by friends I had lunch at this beautiful Osteria. Nice place (even the bathrooms, beautiful and very clean), spacious, clean and well furnished. We were welcomed by Luca, the highly experienced owner-chef, who advised us on the dishes on his menu. We took the "pasta Rustia", polenta alla Vigezzina and finally a platter of cold cuts with cheese: everything was really excellent. Furthermore, the chef let us taste a truly tasty home-made venison carpaccio (zero meter!). The wine is also of high quality, always produced by the chef in his vineyard. Highly recommended.

02/08/2024: Dopo aver camminato fino al lago ,abbiamo pranzato molto bene a prezzo modico. Servizio ottimo ed amichevole. Piatti abbondanti e ben cucinati. Da provare il tagliere misto
27/07/2024: Die Hütte ist so ein Zwischending von Hütte und Pension. Die Zimmer sind recht komfortabel und haben ein eigenes Bad. Bergstiefel dürfen mit aufs Zimmer genommen werden und ein Hüttenschlafsack ist nicht erforderlich. Das Essen ist recht gut und die Hüttenwirte sind sehr nett.
