22/03/2026: If you’re in Cortina and don’t stop at Il Vizietto Di Cortina, you’re doing it wrong.
We walked in with no reservation, fully expecting to get turned away, and instead were welcomed like regulars. That set the tone immediately. Marco and Mattia took care of us all afternoon and were nothing short of elite. The kind of service that doesn’t just meet expectations, it quietly raises the bar.
They picked up on the fact that we were visiting and went out of their way to make the experience memorable. On-the-house appetizers, limoncello, and pistachio ice cream showed up like it was just part of their standard playbook. No big show about it, just genuine hospitality.
Glasses were never empty, the vino kept flowing, and every dish came out hot, fresh, and dialed in. You could tell there’s real pride in what they do, from the kitchen to the floor.
The atmosphere ties it all together. Warm, cozy, mountain-lodge vibes that make you want to stay longer than you planned. It’s the kind of place where you walk in for dinner and end up settling in for the whole evening.
Food, service, atmosphere… all 10/10. But what really makes this place stand out is how they make you feel. Not like a customer, like a guest.
Absolute must-stop in Cortina.
