Pizzeria O' Zi Aniello In Gragnano

We found it by chance and were very satisfied. The pizzas were delicious and the prices were excellent. We recommend it.

I returned to Pizzeria O' Zi Aniello after a few years, and the first difference that immediately caught my eye was the absence of the old indoor dining room: today, the restaurant focuses almost entirely on the outdoor/covered area, which is certainly more suitable for large groups and large tables, but with a consequent loss of seating and that slightly more intimate feel I remembered. The historic self-service setup remains: you order at the cashier, take a number, and then collect everything when called (if you hear the number, hehe). This formula still divides customers: many find it practical and informal, others consider it poorly organized, especially during busy periods. The place is certainly very chaotic and noisy, especially on weekends, while table service is practically nonexistent because it's run by just a few people and relies almost entirely on self-management. From a food perspective, however, Zi Aniello continues to maintain its identity. The fried foods are good, plentiful, and flavorful, and the pizza remains the real reason people come back. We tried four different flavors and the quality was overall very good, with tasty dough (perhaps too oily) and generous toppings. The gluten-free pizza, ordered by a relative of mine who has celiac disease, also received a thumbs up: good flavor and well-made, although decidedly smaller than the standard size. The prices are slightly high but manageable, the atmosphere is rustic and popular; the organization could be improved, especially the call center.

The pizza is delicious, and the selection is varied. The fried foods are also excellent: the zucchini flowers and eggplant meatballs are delicious. I recommend the Monti Lattari pizza with prosciutto, beefsteak tomatoes, oregano, and pickled mushrooms. Truly excellent. They're very organized when it comes to booking and providing a numbered pickup notice. Even though it's self-service, the wait staff are very helpful and kind when setting your table, always attentive and quick.

I've been going to Pizzeria O' Zi Aniello in Lettere with my family practically every Monday night since 2015, so it's a place I know very well and has always maintained the same high standards. The pizza is solid: crispy, light, and with a well-made dough, typical of the area. It's a simple but consistent pizza that never disappoints and has remained consistent over the years. The place is very local and informal, with simple yet functional management. You pay in advance and collect at the counter, which makes everything quicker and helps keep prices low. In fact, it's one of its strong points: for around €40, you can easily feed 5–6 people, a rare thing these days. Another great asset is Yusuf, the guy who helps seat people and clear away the table, always available and smiling. It's one of those details that truly enhances the atmosphere of the place, making the experience more welcoming and enjoyable. Overall, it's a pizzeria that focuses on simplicity done well, on friendliness, and on a genuine atmosphere where you'll gladly return every week.

A warm welcome from the owners. Dinner with friends. The fried calzone crocche and stuffed zucchini flowers were excellent. We then moved on to the delicious pizza. We tried the new Margherita and the pizza with yellow cherry tomatoes. Excellent value.

As non Italian speaking people from Australia we struggled a little in the neighborhood we were staying to find dinner on a Sat at 8pm, But what we found was so authentic, and buzzing with family’s enjoying the cool evening. The Beer was not great and the wine was like fermented grape juice, but the PIZZA was fantastic!! For 1 large pizza, 1 large beer and 1 bottle of grape juice 😂 it was €23 amazing!!!

We were there last night... there were 8 of us and we spent 90 euros. The pizza was very good, even if it was very thin, but the real added value was the service. The 5 stars are for the guy who coordinates the tables outside because, despite the large influx of people, he kindly but with great authority enforced the first-come, first-served list. I will definitely be back.

Without further ado, you get a good pizza restaurant, almost like a self-service restaurant. You order your pizza, then you go to the dining room, find a seat, and then as soon as your number is called, you go back to eat. The prices are super fair, but I repeat, the pizza is delicious, made with super fresh ingredients. I highly recommend it 100%.
