I wasn't expecting much, but this pizzeria pleasantly surprised me. We happened to order calzones, which were very good and really well-stuffed with ham, and the price was only €2.50.

An unassuming pizzeria that only locals seem to know. In my opinion, the pizza is very good and generous. Prices are reasonable, with a bottle of Calabrian wine at 12 euros. We've been twice. The owner is a nice guy.

Hotel Ristorante Canada

17/08/2026: The hotel is located less than a kilometer from the Salerno-Reggio Calabria highway, about an hour from Villa San Giovanni. It's the ideal place to spend a night before taking the ferry to Sicily or immediately after taking the ferry back to Calabria. The restaurant is excellent, with very good seafood dishes. Excellent value for money. Last-minute reservations are also possible.
16/08/2026: We stayed at this hotel for a week and I can say I really enjoyed it. The staff is very friendly and quick to resolve any issues, especially Mr. Santo, a delightful person and always very helpful. The food in the restaurant is quite good, and breakfast, while not particularly varied, offers good products. I definitely recommend it and will return.
