For over 35 years, Max's pizza by the slice has been a guarantee. Even for takeout, for a last-minute dinner or to share with friends in front of the TV. And then, if it doesn't happen...but if it does, it's still delicious the next day, reheated on the grill.

I'd finished work late, after 11 PM, very hungry and with no desire to sit down in a restaurant or pub for a burger at the end of the night. A Google search led me to Pizzeria Leader—and I couldn't have come across a better place. As soon as I arrived, I found a small group of young people munching on a few slices: the atmosphere was simple, relaxed, and perfect for a casual snack. I ordered two slices of sausage and one of mushrooms: the first two still warm from a baking tray I'd just taken out of the oven, the last one fresh from the oven. Despite the time, the pizza was fresh and fragrant. The dough is soft but with a crispy base—a truly excellent compromise. And one detail I really liked: they have a 0.25-ounce Peroncino, perfect for accompanying a couple of slices of pizza. I spent about €10, leaving satisfied and feeling like I'd found the perfect place for after-hours evenings. A big plus: they close late, between 11 PM and midnight depending on the day—a rarity in the area. I don't know if they also do home delivery or just takeout, but I'll definitely try ordering a whole pan to share with colleagues for lunch soon.
