The best pizza on the entire island! The owner is incredibly nice. The prices are commensurate with the quality, which is very rare here 😉 I recommend it to everyone, even if it's just a slice. We went from Royal Palm just for this pizza 🤩

Tonight I was strolling through the heart of Forio d’Ischia, and my craving for a true Neapolitan pizza led me straight into Bar Pizzeria La Stambata, right in the lively Piazzetta. Don’t let the casual look fool you—this place is a hidden gem! 🍕✨ I asked for a table for two and was curious about the slogan on the team’s t-shirts: “Le Viege.” The owner (Geppo, if I caught the name right) smiled and explained it’s their signature pizza. The way he described it—well, let’s just say I didn’t even bother looking at the menu. I ordered Le Viege for myself and a porcini pizza for my partner. When the pizzas arrived… wow. I should have asked about the size—it was the BIGGEST pizza I’ve ever seen! At first glance, mine looked like a mountain of salad: wild crunchy rocket, sweet juicy tomatoes, and generous shavings of parmesan. For a moment, I thought: “Wait, did I just order a salad?” 🥗😅 But then came the surprise. Hidden underneath this heavenly garden was the actual pizza—perfectly folded, oozing with melted cheese, Parma ham, salami, and porcini mushrooms. Every bite was an explosion of flavors. Pure bliss. 🤤 My partner’s porcini pizza? Equally delicious. And of course, everything went down beautifully with a cold Italian beer. 🍺 This place isn’t just a pizzeria—it’s an experience. We stumbled upon this place quite by chance, and the bruschetta was truly outstanding: fruity pomodorini, perfectly crispy toasted bread on the outside, and fluffy and oily on the inside with a not-too-overpowering hint of garlic. It came with a super fresh green salad—the whole thing for just €6.50 is truly unbeatable.

Excellent service and quality of food, delicious pizzas. The final point is that they only cover the 1 euro cover charge and they waive it if you don't eat, as was my case. This gesture, so rare in Italian restaurants but so outrageous to me (I don't see it as normal to pay an extra 6 euros for just sitting down to eat. And I'll never see it as normal, the last thing I should think about is having to pay for a cover charge) means a lot. It makes all the difference, and I will always recommend this place, not only for the excellent pizzas and service, of course. We returned several times during our stay and will return again when we're in Ischia.

5 stars for the pizza. I've tried several different types of pizza from them over the years, and despite the different flavors, they're all consistently good! Top service! Fast, and they never mess up orders. I wanted to post a photo of the various pizzas we had this evening, but we finished them before I could… 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️🙈 Highly recommended!

Excellent location in the historic center of Forio, very welcoming and with extremely kind and cheerful staff. I highly recommend trying the "Le Viege" pizza, a specialty that truly impressed me. Furthermore, the prices are very affordable and fully in line with the high-quality ingredients.

Great place! We like this type of restaurant, very relaxed, well located on the square for people watching. The food is brilliant and the prices are very reasonable. Everything was great. A favourable option for families and larger groups of friends, rather than couples seeking romance.

Ideal for an unpretentious lunch or dinner. I had a zingara: good. And a caprese salad: made with fior di latte. The prices were fair considering what's on offer. Friendly staff.
