Pizzeria La Strambata In Forio

Waited for another pizzeria for an hour before deciding to try out this pizzeria and was super surprised as the quality of the pizza was so good. They allowed additional toppings on your pizza so I got Gorgonzola on my pizza and this was one of the best pizzas I’ve had in Ischia. Excellent price and I didn’t have to wait an hour for good pizza

The pizza is good and the staff is friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back.

Tonight I was strolling through the heart of Forio d’Ischia, and my craving for a true Neapolitan pizza led me straight into Bar Pizzeria La Stambata, right in the lively Piazzetta. Don’t let the casual look fool you—this place is a hidden gem! 🍕✨ I asked for a table for two and was curious about the slogan on the team’s t-shirts: “Le Viege.” The owner (Geppo, if I caught the name right) smiled and explained it’s their signature pizza. The way he described it—well, let’s just say I didn’t even bother looking at the menu. I ordered Le Viege for myself and a porcini pizza for my partner. When the pizzas arrived… wow. I should have asked about the size—it was the BIGGEST pizza I’ve ever seen! At first glance, mine looked like a mountain of salad: wild crunchy rocket, sweet juicy tomatoes, and generous shavings of parmesan. For a moment, I thought: “Wait, did I just order a salad?” 🥗😅 But then came the surprise. Hidden underneath this heavenly garden was the actual pizza—perfectly folded, oozing with melted cheese, Parma ham, salami, and porcini mushrooms. Every bite was an explosion of flavors. Pure bliss. 🤤 My partner’s porcini pizza? Equally delicious. And of course, everything went down beautifully with a cold Italian beer. 🍺 This place isn’t just a pizzeria—it’s an experience. Highly recommended if you’re in Forio. We stumbled upon this place quite by chance, and the bruschetta was truly outstanding: fruity pomodorini, perfectly crispy toasted bread on the outside, and fluffy and oily on the inside with a not-too-overpowering hint of garlic. It came with a super fresh green salad—the whole thing for just €6.50 is truly unbeatable.
