Pizzeria La Stazione In Tivoli

The pizza dough is the lightest I've ever tasted. Well done, keep it up... We had a wonderful time... Highly recommended... excellent appetizers. A plus for the manager.

Unfortunately, our experience at La Stazione pizzeria wasn't exactly a great one. Four of us went on Saturday for dinner with a reservation. We arrived and immediately found a spot in the large parking lot right outside the pizzeria, directly adjacent to the train station. We entered the restaurant and were greeted by the waiter, a kind young man, who showed us to our table. I immediately noticed that in the middle of the entrance hall there was a small table where I believe the owner was keeping accounts and writing something down. However, I found the place welcoming with the heating on, since it was a bit chilly outside. We looked at the menu both a la carte and online, placed our order for appetizers, fried foods, and pizzas, and waited. Shortly afterward, the appetizers began to arrive, along with the fried foods and beers—unfortunately, I must say, the beer was of questionable quality, and the fried foods were completely greasy. The pizzas were nothing special; the dough was good but a bit heavy, and it was difficult to finish. The spicy pizza arrived with an EXTREME level of spiciness and a slightly chemical flavor, making it impossible to eat more than a slice. The evening ended with a VERY steep bill (about €33 per person for a pizza, a beer, and a few appetizers), which you can see from the photos. On the other hand, I found the bathrooms clean, albeit very retro, and the entire staff was friendly and helpful.

The pizza was very good; you could tell the dough was fresh and highly digestible, at least for me. I didn't like the fried food; I ordered a potato croquette, but unfortunately it arrived soaked in oil, and the potato inside was overcooked and tasteless. We also had to swap plates several times (which isn't nice) because the waiter couldn't tell us which fried food was which, given that there were five different ones. I also had a tiramisu, which was excellent. The atmosphere was welcoming. The quality/price ratio was fair.

Excellent pizza. I also mentioned a pleasant discovery: garlic, oil, and chili pepper supplì. Good.

After a bad experience at another place, we took refuge at this pizzeria. The service was very fast and friendly, the pizza was very good, and the prices were fair. Recommended.

The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable. I had a great time this evening, thanks to the excellent quality of the food and the very interesting pizzas on the menu. I had a wonderful time. I will definitely be back.
