Traditional and pleasant place, lots of variability from time to time, but overall highly recommended for a quick lunch near Sapienza. Their vegetables are excellent, especially the vignarola. Sometimes the carbonara has a cooked egg, the other first courses are very good.

Great food and for a good price! We stayed two nights in Rome and ate here for dinner both times. The food is amazing and filling and not too expensive. It can get busy later into the night but it’s not too bad around 7. Some of the servers are very friendly but some of them don’t speak English and can be impatient.

The best place in San Lorenzo, everything delicious, especially the meatballs are like a cloud.

Guys, if you want to eat real Roman cuisine, and value for money, you have to come here. It took me thirty years to find a restaurant like this. Trust me. Excellent

Being in Rome for work and not knowing any places to eat something, I entrusted myself to a colleague who knows the area well, so we arrived there at 10pm even though we thought we would find the kitchens closed but we tried anyway, the place was full of small tables, almost all of them for two and almost all of them occupied, as soon as we entered we were welcomed warmly and they made us sit at the first available table right at the entrance of the place, the waiter came but immediately afterwards (I think the owner who, recognizing his colleague, told him "the usual?”, then turning to me who was undecided between some special pizzas I ended up taking the vegetarian one. Crumbly dough as I like it and the contents with a pleasant salty aftertaste that made you want to drink the excellent draft beer... and excellent vegetables. Congratulations, really compliments for the welcome, for the food and for the characteristic place which is very well looked after. I will certainly be back. Typical Roman restaurant with honest prices and excellent food. Recommended for a quick lunch if you are on business but also for lunch or dinner with friends

Very tasty starters, pizzas and spaghetti carbonara.

Spent our first evening in Rome at this restaurant, fantastic food washed down with 0.5l of house red wine, for me the best way to enjoy wine and food. We had pizzas and pasta dishes, all high-quality ingredients. Nice when everyone eating here is Italian from the local area. Also used this as a takeaway later in the week.
