Excellent food, good service staff and very very good value for money (two starters and two pizzas with water came to just €40. It could be greatly improved with some thought on the decor and lighting as it is a bit austere and reminded me of a school dining hall, but none the less worth visiting for good quality and value.

A real local pizzeria, with delicious pizzas, real hair-thin dough, fair prices. The noise was a bit loud for me, but otherwise everything was fine.

If you sit outside it is a fantastic restaurant with very good pizza. Bottom very thin but perfect for that. In general, the prices are very cheap, which really fascinated my family and me, as we had paid a lot more elsewhere. Another highlight was that there is no cell phone network available, so no one is on their cell phones in the restaurant :)

Winter Garden by Caino

07/11/2024: Considering the St. Regis Florence is one of the city’s most highly regarded hotels, I had relatively high expectations for the Winter Garden’s restaurant, particularly as I had also been there a variety of times for drinks at the bar— which has a great selection, and the bartenders are always friendly!— but, lunch fell quite short. It was simply not fitting to the criteria of a fine dining experience. I think that in Florence, it is much better to go to a local spot and try some regional specialties instead, and have a more catered to experience. The atmosphere was lovely but the crowd iffy and service lacking.
17/09/2024: Excellent experience, fabulous place. The wrong Negroni however was... Wrong. We need to work on cocktails!

11/11/2024: It deserves it! It's a welcoming place. We eat well. Niccolò is an excellent Maître! Fun and engaging; open (we exchanged a couple of suggestions on the preparation of Peposo). TIP: The tortelli cacio e pepe and Il Peposo are well made, good! WINE: Has a good choice, with quality. MERLOT Veneto recommended. Congratulations, we will definitely be back! Price: relevant and in line (with the average of Florentine restaurants in the area) with what we ate.
