The hotel location is excellent and staff were generally helpful. We requested fresh slippers to replace the original ones that got wet. Housekeeping staff said okay but never delivered the slippers so my wife and I went without slippers for a night.. The service was generally fantastic although we could not understand why the hotel did not want us to use a taxi literally waiting for passengers outside the hotel and insisted on ordering a separate taxi for us. The hotel on check out, to our surprise, added a gratuity charge of EUR50 on top of taxes and service charges. Although the front desk explained it is entirely voluntary, we thought it wasn’t right to ask for tips this way. Having said that, the stay was absolutely pleasant and my wife and I had a very good time.

We had a wonderful stay at Helvetia & Bristol in Florence! The entire team was incredibly polite, professional, and genuinely kind. They made us feel completely at home — especially with our baby — and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, with high-quality food and plenty of delicious options. A special thank you to Francesco, who was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our visit. I wish I could remember every team member’s name, because truly everyone we interacted with was outstanding. This is what a real 5-star hotel experience feels like — elegant, warm, and personal. We can’t wait to return!

Our recent stay at the Helvetia & Bristol was one of the very best of life’s experiences. The height of beauty and opulence mixed with a warm, friendly and approachable service throughout. The food in both breakfast and evening restaurants was impeccable. The room was a delight and the hotel’s location, very close to perfect. It’s a place that is designed to simply make you feel wonderful just by being there.

This is probably one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at in Europe. The rooms were really great (incredibly comfortable), amazing service (hotel made all of our dinner reservations with great recs), and the location was fantastic. If you do stay here, I would highly recommend using the spa. I didn't realize how nice it was until the last day and I did not have a ton of time to use it, so didn't get the full experience, but it was pretty awesome. It had a sauna, steam room, cold room, hydrotherapy, pools, etc. and I would highly recommend getting a treatment to use the facilities or you can just get a day pass (which I think was 20 euros) to access it!

Great hotel in the heart of Florence. Steps to the main square and the Duomo. Friendly staff that made us feel at home. We travelled with a 16 month old and they accommodated his every need from his crib to his nighttime time bottle. Perfecto!

We stayed there years ago and it was wonderful, very well located but not in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Impeccable service and wonderful rooms.
