Pizzeria Fra' Cipolla In Calenzano

I went there with some friends for dinner. The service wasn't the best. But I have to say the food was good. We only had pizzas, so I can only review those. A tip for the Pizzaiolo: the less he burns them, the better. It's not a place for very young people, given that there are several families with children.

We were there one evening in September and ate the pizza, which was rubbery and undercooked, which was a shame because it was good. The staff was kind and courteous.

I've been coming here for dinner for a couple of weeks now. Every night there's a different dish. I must say, you really taste the right flavor in every dish. I absolutely recommend it. The wait staff is truly exceptional.

I arrived before closing. I ordered a spaghetti aglio oilo for takeaway (I'm a truck driver). They were nice, fast and the spaghetti was excellent. Grazie. 🤗

We returned on Saturday evening.. for the appetizer nothing to say (coccoli and prosciutto) let's talk about the pizzas, calzone burnt on top but ok inside, my covaccino mozzarella and raw cherry tomatoes underneath and the edge burnt, I think the oven was perhaps not at its best... The desserts were passable but... Really too sweet almost cloying!! Anyway we told the waiter, who was kind, since he saw all the burnt crust of the calzone on the plate... The bill was normal!

May 17, 2025 - Saturday, we booked at 7:15 pm for 8:30 pm for 2 people. It was the last free table. We ate 2 appetizers: 1 Fried polenta with mushrooms and 2 Ficattole with raw ham and stracchino, and 2 pizzas: 1 Tuna and onion and 2 Cooked ham and rocket, plus a side dish: tomato, and to drink: 2 large Moretti beers. Price €47.50. We ate very well! The polenta is spectacular: fried well and the mushroom sauce is finger-licking good! 😋😋😋Cold beers, drunk with pleasure! Next time we will try the first and second courses! Kind, friendly and helpful staff and it was rewarded by me with great pleasure! Congratulations to all of you "Fra' Cipolla"!
