22/08/2024: Qui si mangia bene!!! Personale educato, gentile e preparato, veramente molto più delle aspettative, la cucina è eccellente, locale, fatta bene, l'antipasto è originale, con la pappa al pomodoro e poi Tordelli della casa, veramente con un ragù da 10 e lode. Bravi, che dire di più?
07/07/2024: It is a historic Lucca bar-restaurant hidden in a recess of Via Strettoia. The interior reflects the standard of out-of-town trattorias, while the outside, to be enjoyed especially in summer, is a corner of peace and tranquility set up in a rustic but not banal way. In the kitchen there is the one woman band Filomena known as Filù, who prepares her dishes from the kitchen to the wood oven. The menu is fixed at €30 and is made up of a series of typical appetizers (spelt, vegetable pies, anchovies, meatloaf, baked focaccia, tomato soup, etc.) which are overall good, from the homemade tordelli to the ragù ( fiscreti but in my opinion I have tasted better ones nearby, while the ragù is truly remarkable) and finally roast chicken and meat with potatoes (good quality of the raw materials). The portions are fair but not as generous as you would expect in a menu of this type. Modest house wine. A recommendation and applause that I sincerely feel like giving is for the two guys who took care of the service. It is difficult these days and especially in places of this type to find young staff as kind, thoughtful, prepared and attentive as these two guys who support Filù. Well done, keep it up.
