If you are looking for a quick but tasty meal, this small historic place in the heart of the ZTL is a must. Specialized in tielle, it offers a wide variety of fillings, from the most classic to the most original. I had the pleasure of trying several, including the one with octopus, with mussels and courgettes, with onions and with swordfish and aubergines. Each had a strong flavor and a fragrant mixture, perhaps with an extra drizzle of oil, but overall irresistible.
The restaurant has some outdoor tables, while inside the space is limited and the high temperatures, due to the ovens always on, make waiting for the order a little less pleasant. The staff is extremely friendly and available to recommend the best choice based on personal tastes.
The price might seem slightly high, but having no terms of comparison, I was won over by the quality of the product, which seems to keep a consolidated family tradition alive.
I recommend letting yourself be guided by curiosity and trying as many variations as possible: the classics are unmissable, but the more particular combinations might surprise you. An authentic culinary experience that is definitely worth a stop!

There is little to say about the best tiella in Gaeta and surrounding areas and the pizza doesn't disdain either! There is always a great choice, without even needing to order first and made with excellent quality products

Carletto's tiella is always a guarantee, I recommend the one with escarole and cod but also the octopus one... poetry.

Gran pequeño "agujero en la pared" lugar. Larga fila pero se movió rápido. Bonito lugar con mesas y sillas al otro lado de la calle. La señora que tomó nuestro pedido hablaba excelente inglés y era muy servicial.

Un posto da consigliare take away oppure ti accomodi ai tavoli gratuitamente, dove il gentile e disponibile ragazzo ti fa accomodare vicini al mare all’aperto. La tiella più buona ed anche economica di Gaeta. Abbiamo preso una intera al polpo + una alle alici, totale speso 23 euro. Sazi a dismisura, consiglio la metà è sufficiente! Buonaaa!
