Pizzeria da Checco In Ponte san nicolò

We returned after two years, recalling what this place used to be. Tonight we returned with friends and were disappointed with the place it once was; only the location remains. The final bill didn't match the menu—at least 50 cents more per dish. The portions were small and the price was high. We won't be returning; it's a real shame.

Undoubtedly a unique and iconic location, but unfortunately we were disappointed with the food. The menu aims to be "unusual" with innovative options (like the reindeer fillet or blueberry bucatini), but it was decidedly underdeveloped and poorly expressed once plated. On the downside, the prices are far from cheap and the portions are small. Overall, it was a different experience, and I'm still wondering how they managed to squeeze a train car into a building.

The ambiance is obviously charming and refined. The waiter, and I believe the owner or manager, were very kind and friendly. Unfortunately, the food was a disappointment. The ingredients were certainly high-quality, but when it arrived, two dishes were cold and the other was really al dente. The desserts were still frozen inside. We didn't mention the situation because the owner had confided in us that they were having trouble with a staff member being short.

The place and the idea are really nice, eating inside this carriage, only that it is not valued enough in my opinion...even the outside does not look good, more value should be given to the outside too because it is worth it, good food and kind staff!

We had dinner at the Orientale Express and I have to say it felt like a step back in time. The location was spectacular and the food was delicious, from appetizers to dessert. A compliment to the dining room service (in the carriage) and the kitchen. The dishes were beautiful to look at and delicious to eat. Compliments

The food was excellent, both in quality and preparation. You will find particular meats such as zebra and buffalo and exceptional desserts. The selection of wines is also excellent.
