The farinata and pan pizza are excellent. For lunch, in addition to the à la carte menu, they offer a €12 set menu with a first course, second course, and side dish.

It's always a great pleasure to return to Candido, even if you no longer live in the San Paolo area, because it's one of the village's historic establishments.
One of the first times I set foot in the restaurant, I was terrified due to a violent downpour and was simply seeking shelter for a few minutes. I was welcomed and reassured, and a moment of panic turned into an opportunity to get to know the owner, Adriana, and her world, including her father, Salvatore, who founded the pizzeria and who, until 2024 (when he sadly passed away), stopped by every day to say hello and chat with customers.
A pizzeria, then, but also a meeting place where people come in as if they were at home, welcomed by Adriana, who manages the cash register and expertly and quickly turns out pan-fried pizzas and farinata. The kitchen, meanwhile, takes care of the brick-baked pizzas and the other items on the menu.
All the pizzas are excellent. Personally, I prefer the pan-fried version, which I consider among the best in Turin, and with a generous helping of farinata (don't forget to sprinkle it with a little pepper!), dinner is complete. Besides, for me, a Genoese native, farinata is truly made properly: thin and well-cooked, but never dry.
The place is neat and clean, small and very quaint, but for me this is an added bonus because sometimes a great evening has to be earned, and the beauty of coming to Candido is also the wait, perhaps chatting outside, because you know you'll enjoy a truly pleasant evening.
The prices are competitive, and the service is professional and very friendly. It's truly an experience worth trying at least once if you live in Turin, and definitely a place to consider if you're in the city for a business trip or vacation.

Pizza with friends, the place is a bit small, all the tables occupied, a good sign. We ordered pizza, beer, and coffee. The pizza was excellent, light and cooked very well. The service was excellent, and the bill was modest. I recommend going by public transportation or on foot. Parking is a challenge. The pan pizza is only available in the evening, but also at lunchtime on Wednesdays.
