A trattoria with a pleasant, old-world atmosphere where you can eat well and sufficiently at very reasonable prices. I'm from Rome, and when I returned to the area, I returned!

We stopped for lunch at this trattoria after visiting the Certosa di Pavia. Chiara welcomed us with professionalism and a beautiful smile. Excellent food, a quiet, simple atmosphere. The price was more than fair. I'm vegetarian and had a great meal. They prepared a tomato pasta dish for my daughter upon request. The menu was limited. The desserts were spectacular! We were a group of nine friends, and everyone was very satisfied! When we return to Pavia, we'll definitely stop at this trattoria again.

Excellent food, very friendly staff and good value for money

A pleasant discovery; we stumbled upon it by chance, but we had a pretty good meal at a truly competitive price. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming. The biggest flaw was the bathroom, which is inaccessible to those with limited mobility and in general could use a renovation. Another flaw was the desserts, which were slightly overpriced and didn't seem homemade as advertised, but it makes up for the rest.

We visited this trattoria for lunch on a Sunday and were amazed by everything. First and foremost, of course, was the food, which was delicious from the starters to the desserts (especially), but also the very attentive and fast service. Kudos to both the chef and the waitress who managed all the tables perfectly. They offer a fixed Sunday lunch menu for €22, which includes a starter, main course, side dish, service charge, water, and coffee (or sorbet). We'll definitely be back!

I rarely write reviews for restaurants I visit—not often—but this time I'll make an exception. The restaurant seats about twenty; it's very simple. But the menu (it's Sunday lunch) was very varied and delicious: it offered five first courses and five or six second courses with as many side dishes. The prices displayed outside the restaurant might make you think it's nothing special, but instead, everything was varied, good, in just the right quantities, and a free appetizer you wouldn't expect. Including wine (1/2 liter of bulk), water, homemade liqueur, and coffee, for six people, €164.00. The only flaw, which I noticed alone, was that the rabbit cacciatore was a bit cold; I could have perhaps asked for it to be reheated, but since it was tasty and there was so much polenta, I didn't think about it and ate it quickly. Why review such a simple restaurant? Precisely because it's a simple, authentic place, with a quiet atmosphere and home-cooked dishes. It's true that it's not a six-star restaurant (where you pay €50 or maybe €60 a head if you're lucky); here you pay less than half and eat just as well. And then because there are so few trattorias like this, and I hope they continue to survive.

We had lunch today at Trattoria Certosa. It was a pleasant surprise. We found the staff friendly and helpful, and the portions were well-prepared and generous. First course, second course, side dish, coffee, or sorbet for €11.00 per person. Excellent value. We'll be back.

After visiting the monastery, we had lunch there. The service, food, and value for money were all excellent. I wish the owner great success in his business.
