Pizzeria Calcandola In Sarzana

I returned here after several years of absence. I found a welcoming atmosphere, knowledgeable, fast, professional, and friendly staff, with a smile on their faces (which I'd say is important in the restaurant industry). The food was excellent: well-cooked farinata and pizza with perfect dough. I think next time I'll try the steak, it piqued my curiosity. I'll be back and I recommend it.

We were very disappointed with this pizzeria for several reasons: 1) the service was completely disorganized and they had too few waiters, 2) it took them 50 minutes to bring us two pizzas, 3) the dining room staff didn't care about us (or anyone else) unless prompted... They were all running around dealing with emergencies, and all the customers were waiting for their pizzas, which took forever to arrive. In the center of the dining room were a series of tables left there as if they'd been forgotten: they weren't set, nor did they have chairs around them. It's a shame because the pizza wasn't bad after all, and the prices were fair. They need to get better organized before I return.
