Pizzeria Avalon In Ancona

Excellent pizzeria, especially for those like me who can't eat gluten. I've been coming here for a while now, and it's always a sure thing.

Inevitably good! Clearly, the location and quality of the ingredients require considerable investment, but I found the prices too high: €8.50 for a Margherita is too much. We're talking about a pizzeria, after all.

Their pizza is spectacular. The dough is soft, thick at the edges and thinner in the center, with a unique, authentic flavor, literally as good as bread. It's hard to describe, but for me, it has that same ancient, comforting flavor of handmade homemade products, like they used to be. And it's all enriched with delicious, rich, abundant, and truly satisfying toppings, which are also completely customizable. Starting with a pizza, through the pizzeria's very intuitive app, you can remove less-favorite ingredients and/or add many others, creating endless combinations and fully personalizing a pizza to make it unique, special, tailored to everyone's desires, potentially unrepeatable. A truly rare experience of flavors and sensations, at least for me.

The pizza is delicious, the location is less appealing given that it's in an industrial area, but for a quality pizza like this, it's always worth it! Recommended.

Avalon's pizza is truly excellent and, above all, light, but this last time I realized I had to pay €3 for the cover charge, and I don't know why... there's a placemat and not a tablecloth, no entrée or bread (you don't need it, it's a pizzeria), and you place your order with the app. Truly unjustified. I recommend at least some chips while you wait.

Found via Google Images - we initially felt like we'd been ripped off by the sketchy approach :D. In the middle of an industrial area, next to a soccer field, stands a surprisingly pretty pizzeria. Although it's so far out of the way, we had to wait a bit without a reservation. Luckily, they have good craft beer, so the wait isn't stressful ;). The fried appetizers are surprisingly delicious and easy to share. The highlight here, however, is clearly the pizza. Classic Neapolitan and simply outstanding! Both the dough and the toppings are extremely good! The ham (crudo) melts in your mouth, and the savory stuff is truly savory. Attention Boomers: You order everything via your phone. But it's all doable - don't worry. A little tip: At first, you don't have to type in the table number, but rather the number of people (oops, with two of us, we suddenly had 30, but they're super understandable). Overall: We'll be back!

Great place, exceptional service, but the receptionist could be a little more welcoming. Anyway, the food was excellent and the price was great. Highly recommended!

The parking lot isn't very large, but the tables are well-arranged. Quick service, excellent pizza, good beer selection, and above-average prices.

Purtroppo non veniamo spesso perché i prezzi sono troppo alti. Sicuramente gli ingredienti utilizzati sono eccellenti, l’unica pecca che l’impasto rispetto a tempo fa ci è sembrato meno leggero e digeribile. Avete cambiato qualcosa o magari questa volta è riuscito “male”?

Cioè raga ma voi siete tipo il santo graal delle pizzerie, gli ultimi manipolatori dell'impasto veramente. Roba grossa, una pizza così eccelsa la troverai in 50 posti in tutta italia a dir tanto. Materie prime eccezionali, impasti fotonici, anche tutto il resto del menù spettacolo, servizio al top, bel locale spazioso. DEFINITIVI
