07/12/2025: The food is excellent, very fresh and well-cooked, and the staff is courteous and knowledgeable, especially Mr. Salvatore. I recommend it to everyone.

24/11/2025: At the side of the piazza outside the mediæval Aragonese Porta Nolana. There is a local, faintly workaday (this is Naples and not the relatively expensive Chiaia area of the city after all) but unthreatening, atmosphere. The waiting staff are cheerful, friendly and helpful. And have adequate English for those who don't have Neapolitan Italian. The dining area is in a kind of spacious tented plastic conservatory, but adequately warm even on a very wet November night. I expect it is alfresco in the hot weather. As well as the usual pizzas the menu has delicious, imaginative, and fairly-priced seafood. The local fish-market is nearby, which is always a good sign for piscivores, but not a problem even for the hypersensitive. And there is a wide range of pasticceria confections for dessert. There were none of the delays, service issues (or insects) other reviewers have mentioned. I'm not sure why anyone would need warning about a 3 euro coperta either, unless they were completely unfamiliar with Italian restaurants. There is no reason other than wider exploration that I wouldn't go back.
