Top pizzeria. Probably the cheapest in Milan, but that doesn't mean the quality suffers. Excellent pizzas and super-fast service. Also great for takeout.

Good pizza and a medium beer for three euros: a dream.

Recommended by a French colleague, perhaps the only pizzeria in Milan with prices that remain unchanged from 2003. Run by Egyptians, they churn out excellent thin pizzas with no pretensions other than to feed their customers. The decor is unchanged from over 20 years ago, but definitely more welcoming than today's gourmet pizzerias. We ordered a prosciutto, a Pugliese pizza, and two glass-bottled waters. Total? €12.20, cover charge included. Plus, the owner gave us a 10c discount because we didn't have enough change. Among the VIPs who frequent Pizzeria Americ is Giovanni, the comedian from the famous trio Aldo, Giovanni, and Giacomo.

The pizza is excellent and the staff are very friendly. Always very busy.

The place you wanna be, a pizzeria with a short tempered grumpy old Italian grandpa. I pray god to spare him so I can eat his extraordinary pizza next time I’m in Milano. Make no mistake, this is the best pizza you’ll ever eat. Thank you Don for shouting at me, I’m thinking this is what made the pizza amazzzzzzing. *** You must try this if you are in Milano.

I'll start by saying I ordered takeout pizza. The place itself is a bit sterile and chaotic. As for the pizzas (I've had them several times), I have to say the prices are very fair. I don't think even in Naples they sell a Margherita for €3.50 anymore. It's certainly not Neapolitan pizza because this one is rolled out very thinly, which is something I like. The last time I ordered a Campagnola. I have to say it was light and I enjoyed it. If I really had to order it again, I'd skip the tomato sauce because it completely covers the flavor of the provola and Trevisana, so I'd serve it plain with pepper. In any case, the quality/price ratio is unbeatable. The staff is very polite and cheerful.

We ended up there on the wrong night because the manager was really... unfriendly. Great prices, decent pizza.
