I challenge anyone who's been in Bologna for a while not to know it... an institution for decades. Pizza by the slice, that's it! You know what you're getting: good pizza with prompt but not rude service. The place is therefore designed for short stays!

There's a wide variety of pizzas to choose from. They offer warming services or you can buy them to take home. You can also dine in. The taste is very good and delicious. The staff are friendly and provide good service.

I ordered 60 pizzas for a graduation the same day, and the girl I called was truly kind. When I arrived, she was helpful and welcoming, giving me several tissues and plastic cups. I don't know her name, but she has a black frame and I think she's from the South. If you go, you'll agree with what I wrote. Highly recommended for the staff, but also for the pizzas, which are always very good.

I remember it being in the '80s, and it was completely different than it was before. Today, the service and quality are adequate, while the place is the same as it was 40 years ago.

I highly recommend eating this delicious pizza al taglio. Altero has been around for many years, and when you come to Bologna, you absolutely have to try it.

21/02/2026: Unfortunately, living in Bologna, we don't come to this restaurant very often, but we always leave satisfied! The owner is truly kind and helpful, always happy to chat with guests. The food is always top-notch! Fresh fish, balanced flavors, and dishes that satisfy the palate while leaving you feeling light. The breadsticks brought to your table are also excellent. The wait staff is very friendly and efficient. Highly recommended!
29/12/2025: On Christmas Day, I had lunch at this delightful restaurant with my wife, and the feedback was very positive. The seafood dishes were well-prepared, and the tortellini in broth were excellent. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I recommend it!

02/05/2026: Sunday lunch... first courses a little al dente but it's a matter of taste... Grigia and Carbonara 😋 good cheeses and pinza... nice and clean place, courteous and kind service... Reservations required!!!
