Large, delicious pizza. Not heavily seasoned, but oil, salt, and pepper are provided. Dessert: Tiramisu, thawed: hot/cold, okay. Restaurant atmosphere: snack-like, without water or bread, but still €4 per person. Barely 4 stars.

Perhaps one of the most affordable places in Selva. That doesn't mean it's not pricey, especially considering the very basic and cramped atmosphere. The service and food were good, but we spent over €40 each for a lasagna, a salad, and two beers. But that's Selva.

Excellent value for money...fair compared to the prices I've seen at other restaurants. Generous and tasty dishes, fast service...the exterior could be improved a bit...but overall highly recommended!!

Bergrestaurant Jochtal

15/03/2026: A modern refuge with spacious interiors and exteriors, a playground, excellent food, friendly staff, and moderate prices. We were a group of six adults and six children. They brought us books and coloring books for the kids, the service was very fast, and we had a delicious lunch. We left a small tip, and the one coffee we ordered after lunch was also free. Recommended!
17/02/2026: The Jochtal mountain restaurant is located in Vals in the Gitschberg-Jochtal ski area, right next to the mountain station. Here you can enjoy good food at fair prices, with everything from typical South Tyrolean dishes to pizza. Next to the restaurant, there's also a lovely children's playground, which is especially convenient for families with children.

05/03/2026: A lovely place to immerse yourself in a rustic, typical Puster Valley atmosphere. Beyond appearances, I can't recommend this place very much. The prices are extremely high for what's on offer, or rather, for the quality of the dishes. A cold cuts platter for two was €26 (perhaps the only thing worth ordering, thanks to the local produce), tagliatelle with game was nothing special (with a supermarket-bought sauce, it could have been even better), and the pork shank was stringy and not one of the best I've ever tasted (cold side dishes were already served). Dinner with an appetizer shared between four and a main course each plus beer (no dessert or coffee) was €140. Draw your own conclusions. I can tell you, from my experience, that I wouldn't go back. You can find better.
